Fun but challenging
Have played this course several times. It is by far one of the most challenging 18 holes of golf for a par 69 that I have played. We do enjoy coming here because it’s close to home and within our budget.
Great Value for money
Can’t beat it for the price. Course is short, but that’s fine because it makes up for it with narrow fairways. Great beginners course with minimal hazard and quick play.
Nice little course
Perfect for a quick round. Course has a nice layout for a shorter course. A couple spots under repair, but course played well. Good value for the money.

Pleasant
Was a good quality time with my wife. We both play will course is narrow but manageable. Greens were in real good shape.
Female friendly
I was able to score well here. Some courses are long for older women. Best course in Zephyrhills! In good shape for Florida!
Good greens
Greens are in excellent shape. Has some short holes but it’s a very nice course and pleasant to play.
Nice, short course
This is a short golf course that plays even shorter. It's fairly well maintained, but several of the greens have patches of crab grass or sandy areas, otherwise they roll out true. Accuracy is a must because several of the fairways are pretty narrow and several of the greens are the smallest I've ever seen. Finally, the staff is pretty nice, but one gets the impression that residents would rather the public not be allowed to play on their course.

Absolutely Try it
My friend and I golf Bi weekly and try various courses. Southport was a very pleasant course. Reasonably priced. Worth playing once, and suspect you may be back.

Hidden gem
I golf there every Sunday with my son and don and the staff are super friendly, first name basis all the way around. A shorter course with some challenge par 4s that are short and some long par 4s I’d advise you to hit em straight cause it’s trees on one side houses on another most house, but the pr 3 at hole 4 you can’t beat it.
