Links of Lake Bernadette
About
The Links of Lake Bernadette enjoys verdant landscaping and a rolling terrain that are perfectly complemented by mature and towering pines. At 6,400 yards, the golf course is seemingly short but it feels like it plays much longer due to frequent doglegs that can be found throughout. Six of the par 4s play over 400 yards and a few par 3s measure over 200 yards, which also helps the course feel longer. Water hazards and bunkers come into play but they are balanced by large greens and wide fairways that make for easier approaches. Although beginners won't feel out of place and there are four different sets of tees, the golf course boasts several tricky holes that will challenge even the best players. One of these, the 163-yard 13th, was once called the best par 3 in Tampa Bay.

Best kept secret in North Tampa
I've not reviewed the course before in fear that everyone would come flocking, but the truth is, the course needs more visitors to keep it maintained.
It is in great condition, especially now it's had some rain on it. It's a long course and a real challenge from the back tees, rewarding thought and accuracy.. But for the less serious golfer, it is forgiving enough to make it a lot of fun.
The staff and facilities are a great bonus. Highly recommended.
Course is fun
Good course for all abilities. Little bit of rain made the course a little more challenging. Will be back for more excitement.
Excellent
Played again yesterday and had a great round as usual. Greens are still superb. Drainage was great no puddling. Had a great round.
“Fine” but not a course I’d play often
I played this course on a visit to the Tampa area. It was cheap and the pace was fast so it was “fine”. It seems like they’re recovering from something on the greens. They’re all extremely thick. It was basically putting off the rough. Almost not playable. If that was taken care of it would be ok as a last resort kind of place. No range or practice areas.
Fantastic Round
Tee time was 7am and course was in impeccable shape. Greens were superb and had one of my best rounds. Course is my go to and enjoy playing there. Staff are are friendly and cordial. Overall great experience. Puts Silverado to shame.
review
The course at Lake Bernadette is worth the drive from the Port Richey area.....fairways are nice and wide with not too much water or sand hazards to catch a stray shot....however, the greens were a little slow for our taste......We enjoyed playing there so much we decided to return the following week as they were offering a $20 special......
Greens being worked on, on the back 9
I would recommend this course, BUT, not right now.
3 of the greens on the back 9 were closed and no one told us before we started our round.
Until this work is completed, I can not recommend the course.
Hopefully the greens will be repaired soon, as this is otherwise a nice course.
Gcranic
The course was ok. Green are green but slow and bumpy. Need to be rolled. Plus very hard. The tee boxes need to be placed where there is grass not in the sand. There is grass but they don’t move the markets. The Resturant I will never go into the Resturant again. I ordered a coke was going to order food. I asked if there is free refills. She said no who does that I said everyplace we play. Silverado, Hertiage isle she laughed at us and walked away very rude. Don’t know her name. Short hair small women skinny. Enoyuh said.
It’s getting better but slow greens
The greens actually look like it now! But play very slow. Fairways in decent condition. Tee boxes need love. Solid course for $25 after 3 pm
it's okay
greens were not bad but extremely slow, fairways were in pretty good shape for as dry as the weather has been. Rough was not as nice, very rough on a few holes with no grass etc.
Weekly golf
Another good, relaxing day. Bernadette is a comfortable course, easy pace, good practice track . You can play multiple shots without slowing other players down later in the after.
No range, poor tee boxes, shaggy greens, slow play
Let me start by saying that the staff is great. Drinks are cheap, so is the food. That being said, they pack them in on the course in the morning. Our average wait time on the tee box was 10 minutes, on every box. Took us 4:15 to play 18 as a twosome. Tee boxes were sandy and slightly over grown. The greens hadn’t been mowed or rolled in a while. Greens were easy to read but SLOW and bumpy. Couldn’t hit it hard enough, EVER. Fairways were nice and the design is fun and challenging. For the money, not great unless you can find a deal. Very small and tight parking area as well. Lots of water that isn’t shown on the course guide.
