Silverado Golf & Country Club
About
Silverado Golf & Country Club is situated just north of Tampa in scenic Zephyrhills. It is a par-71 layout but for low handicappers, it can be extended to a par 72 by turning the lengthy 10th hole into a challenging par 4. The area's natural beauty is defined by the mature oaks that date back over 100 years and the abundant wildlife, including red tail hawks, geese, and foxes. The landscape provides an excellent round of golf, which is further enhanced by the year-round temperate climate. Bunkers treacherously lurk throughout and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course offers some challenging holes but overall, it is approachable for a range of skill levels. Silverado finishes with a par 4 that requires a difficult carry in order to make it past the pond in the middle of the fairway. Those who strategize carefully will be rewarded with a birdie.

Rain has brought course to life Got off on time and pace of play
1st Timer
Course in decent shape. We roll the ball over in the fairways. anyway. A # of doglegs right on the back nine. Good hot $30 deal.
Horrible conditions.
Pace of play and condition of course literally only played 9 of 18. Won’t be back again. Waste of money.
OK Course
Played on Memorial Day Holiday, so pace was a little slower than usual. Greens were iffy in spots. NO WATER ON COURSE!
Ok, but lacking
While it picked up on holes 4 forward, the design was lacking. Tight shots were caused less by the hole and more by the hole coming the other way which frequently caused incoming shots. Some holes overlap tee boxes which was concerning on both tee boxes. Staff was amazing and sold the course but with so many options close by I'm not sure this will be a repeat.
Nice little place
First time playing and it was a pleasant surprise. Nice green fairways, tee boxes in good shape except for a couple. Greens were decent, but a bit bumpy.. they are also quite narrow, reduced in size to ave money on maintenance I would guess.
The layout is nice with several interesting holes. The price is right. The staff friendly. Worth the drive to play.
Great course!
Great course with definite challenges with somewhat narrow fairways. Great for work on your short game. Staff was great and restaurant staff was so friendly and polite. Will visit here again.
Will return
This was my first round of golf as a beginner and I had a great time on a Tuesday morning. Staff was friendly, willing to answer answer questions, and efficient with tasks and assistance. The course was great, just wish there was some additional signage between holes to lead you to where you need to go. The cart path can get a little rough but it was not terrible; just careful driving and common sense. Each hole was well maintained and hole 7 was as pristine as it got.
Silverado
My wife and I play here often as it’s one of our favorites. Staff members are always friendly and helpful. We really like the course layout and it’s always been in good shape. Silverado gets very busy when folks are down for the winter but when they return things slow down some and the pace is much better. Again it’s one of our favorites and we can usually get a great “hot deal” on GolNow. I highly recommend this course.
Silverado-Test your game on a challenging course
Course was in good condition. Greens were slower than I anticipated. Overall course presented a good challenge and we were done inside of 4 hours.
I would recommend this course and look forward to playing again when greens are a bit faster, closer to 9-10.
I played that just about every week makes Bernadette look like they forgot to hire a greenskeeper. Keep up the good work.
Amazing
This course gets better each week. This week we started on the back 9 due to the green being air rated. They were pretty fast. The front 9 they were good but slower. In another week they will be all good. The only problem I see is the tee areas need work not much grass. Other than that the course is really good.
