Silverado Golf & Country Club
About
Silverado Golf & Country Club is situated just north of Tampa in scenic Zephyrhills. It is a par-71 layout but for low handicappers, it can be extended to a par 72 by turning the lengthy 10th hole into a challenging par 4. The area's natural beauty is defined by the mature oaks that date back over 100 years and the abundant wildlife, including red tail hawks, geese, and foxes. The landscape provides an excellent round of golf, which is further enhanced by the year-round temperate climate. Bunkers treacherously lurk throughout and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course offers some challenging holes but overall, it is approachable for a range of skill levels. Silverado finishes with a par 4 that requires a difficult carry in order to make it past the pond in the middle of the fairway. Those who strategize carefully will be rewarded with a birdie.

Great Fun
Played with 15 mouth btreathing, nose picking, porch dwelling buddies. Had a great time. Staff were the best. Lady in proshop deserves a raise. Course conditions were good. Greens a little slow but rolled true. Only got in one bunker. It was fluffy. Really good course. Sunday morning pace of play was good. Seriously, give Proshop lady a bonus or raise!
All 7 minutes a tee time
Pace of play is really bad due to 7 minute frequencies of tee times. Mostly foursomes before noon. Course layout and conditions are ok. Staff friendliness top.
Just say no
This course allows walkers. By the time we made the turn the walkers ahead of us were 2 full holes behind. Just book another course in the area & enjoy your day. This place is a joke.
Slow play ruined the game
We waited 20 min for a cart, always at least one if not two groups waiting on each tee box. We finished the first 9 in almost 3 hours and quit.
This was on a Sunday mid-day.
Nice course
Course was ok, not in good condition but ok, greens a little snow and many old ballmarks.
Good but...
We like this course but we are worried that management is neglecting important course care. Like the tee and greens are in excellent condition but the fairways are defiantly showing neglect. Lots of weeds and more than a few bare spots. The entire course could use some much needed weed control, fertilizer, adequate watering as well as much need aeration.
Great value
Course was in good shape. Good value for the price. Only issue is they need a ranger in the afternoon. There was a twosome that was holding everyone up. They had 2 open holes in front of them and had at least 3 other foursomes backed up behind them due to their extremely slow play. Took almost 5 hours to play 18
Where is everyone
The pro shop was unattended for a long period of time and nobody could go out. This caused a back up of players wanting out. I teamed up with some nice people and got out about 15 minutes later than my booked tee time. I enjoyed the course and the green were in good shape. Overall it was a good experience.
