Silverado Golf & Country Club
About
Silverado Golf & Country Club is situated just north of Tampa in scenic Zephyrhills. It is a par-71 layout but for low handicappers, it can be extended to a par 72 by turning the lengthy 10th hole into a challenging par 4. The area's natural beauty is defined by the mature oaks that date back over 100 years and the abundant wildlife, including red tail hawks, geese, and foxes. The landscape provides an excellent round of golf, which is further enhanced by the year-round temperate climate. Bunkers treacherously lurk throughout and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course offers some challenging holes but overall, it is approachable for a range of skill levels. Silverado finishes with a par 4 that requires a difficult carry in order to make it past the pond in the middle of the fairway. Those who strategize carefully will be rewarded with a birdie.

Great shape
Course is in good condition. Greens a little slow due overseed. Should be great in week or so
Staff Need Training in People Skills
Staff (particularly ground crew) continue to be impolite to paying golfers.
Horrible Staff!
I play this course often. If it weren't for the staff, I would be a member. It seems that they go out of their way to inconvenience and anger people. I had a situation where someone who was golfing behind me identified themselves as staff. Seems like I let my cart get too close to a forbidden zone marked off by some generic red flags on the previous hole. This guy instead of playing his round, got in my face and stated I didn't know how to golf and that my game stunk. I mean, who does that? I also witnessed an altercation on a previous round where a groundskeeper stopped what he was doing and started hitting balls in front of another twosome. When they objected, he got into their face. I couldn't believe what was happening. Seems like the people that work there are prone to anger and outbursts. It's a shame because it's a nice course but the people there ruin it.
Local favorite
I enjoy playing here. It's local and affordable but challenging enough for me.
Great round!
Course was in great shape! Played solo and got paired up with another player in the same cart. It was fine, snuck out a little before our team time around 715am and didn’t have anyone in front of us so the pace was great! Course was in excellent shape. The greens were a little slow because of the dew at that hour but got used to it after a few holes. Great round for the money. Fun course!
Over booked today.
Always enjoy playing here but for some reason they were over booked for the afternoon and it wound up taking 4.5 hours to finish. Super slow.
Inconsiderate Staff
Had just teed off on 1st hole. Groundsperson saw this but started watering 1st green anyway. Had to wait full 15 minutes to putt out. There was nobody behind me. Just a rude and inconsiderate move IMO.
Golf carts and paths are horrible on this course. For the amount of money they charge for a round one would think an attempt to make better is in the works.
Word to the wise....pace of play here is slow!
Could be better
Silverado has a good but confusing layout. Cart paths are at times hard to figure out. Course appears to need some TLC.
Good place for the $
I’m a single digit handicap and this course wasn’t that bad. There are some rough greens, all the tee boxes are a bit beat up but overall it’s pretty decent. I encourage the staff to keep working to improve. It seems as though they are headed in the right direction and it gets a lot of play so folks are voting with their feet.
Great course , terrible pace of play
I play here all the time, unfortunately lately the course of play is TERRIBLE. Idk if they are over booking, or the elderly ladies are to blame, but the course of play is sooooooo slow lately. Beautiful course though!
Good time
This course is in pretty good shape. Grass on the greens are good, grass in the fairways even the rough was good and cut relatively short. Challenging with many dog legs but that's part of the fun. Overall Good Time, pace of play was good
pace of play
todays round started at 9.00 am and finished at1.45,4 hours and 45 minutes play 5700 yards I called the pro shop 2 times to complain about the foursome in front holding our threesome up and about 3 or 4 groups behind.Brandon in the pro shop would only say this will. change in the future, but refused to do anything about the poor round we experienced.
