Silverado Golf & Country Club
About
Silverado Golf & Country Club is situated just north of Tampa in scenic Zephyrhills. It is a par-71 layout but for low handicappers, it can be extended to a par 72 by turning the lengthy 10th hole into a challenging par 4. The area's natural beauty is defined by the mature oaks that date back over 100 years and the abundant wildlife, including red tail hawks, geese, and foxes. The landscape provides an excellent round of golf, which is further enhanced by the year-round temperate climate. Bunkers treacherously lurk throughout and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course offers some challenging holes but overall, it is approachable for a range of skill levels. Silverado finishes with a par 4 that requires a difficult carry in order to make it past the pond in the middle of the fairway. Those who strategize carefully will be rewarded with a birdie.

Nice round
Greens are in great shape Course in general is in really good shape Getting ready for Zephyrhills Open
The fairways are in great shape
We always have a good time here. Fairways are in great shape Greens are in great shape... A couple of scars but that's about it.
I just wish they would replace those nasty golf carts. It's a workout just steering half of those. Also the new neighbors moving in with all of the new houses won't like those motors running. Time for electric ones
A Okay Golf
The course is in great shape. If we don't get rain some fairways will burn out because they are cut to low. You will enjoy your round here.
Silverado
Very nice challenging course good for beginners and intermediate players will return
Happy
I have play here before but its been over 25 years ago. It was my wife’s first time playing and she enjoyed it and said she would love to play it again.
A good round, but...
We started off well with a good pace including letting a single playthrough. The problem we had was on the back nine with all of the sudden onslaughts of walkers. Not that they're walking, but have very little etiquette for players coming up behind. Some leaving their bags in the middle of the fairway while they're putting, then having to walk back to them to move on and a seemingly general meeting on the green perhaps discussing their last drive. Bags should be left on the side like a cart leading to the next hole and have your discussions on the way to the next hole... not on the green holding up approaching players.
Management Displeasure
Played front nine and had a good time. Once hitting the back nine, encountered two derelicts on hole 12. While looking for my ball, one of them hit over me without any courtesy of safety or etiquette. An argument between us ensued. Without permission they went ahead of me and played. I play fast so I got stuck waiting on them. I abandoned my back nine round at 15 and complained to management. I suggested that I get reimbursed a back nine round but they wouldn't do it. Management solution was for me to replay any part of the course. I was tired after playing almost 18. Bottom line, theses uncouth golfers ruined my round and I ended going home very upset.
