Silverado Golf & Country Club
About
Silverado Golf & Country Club is situated just north of Tampa in scenic Zephyrhills. It is a par-71 layout but for low handicappers, it can be extended to a par 72 by turning the lengthy 10th hole into a challenging par 4. The area's natural beauty is defined by the mature oaks that date back over 100 years and the abundant wildlife, including red tail hawks, geese, and foxes. The landscape provides an excellent round of golf, which is further enhanced by the year-round temperate climate. Bunkers treacherously lurk throughout and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course offers some challenging holes but overall, it is approachable for a range of skill levels. Silverado finishes with a par 4 that requires a difficult carry in order to make it past the pond in the middle of the fairway. Those who strategize carefully will be rewarded with a birdie.

We Never Got A Golf Cart
Have you ever waited for a golf cart? I have. Today at Silverado. I arrived 15 minutes early for my 1:03 tee time. I was told to wait at a certain spot because they didn’t have any golf carts available at the time. Okay, that was a first, but fine. A half for later at 1:30, there were still no golf carts. The ranger was aware but was helpless. The golfers with the 12:50 tee time had to follow other golfers into the parking lot and ask for their golf carts, unsanitized, before anyone else could get their hands on them. I asked for a refund from the pro shop and the employee’s response was, “It was only 30 minutes, bro.” I DO NOT recommend this course.
Never disappointed, great condition @ times. I have played 15+ times greens always avg or better course well maintained as Fl. Weather permits.
Wet
It seems that everything was wet. Squashing under your feet. Either it was watered to much or it rained resently.
Good course for beginners
Play was slow. Wide open. Not challenging. Cart was horrible. It could barely move. If you are any decent at golf, go somewhere else.
Fairways Need help
Most greens are in good condition, fairways have little grass and many bare spots , needs work
Had a fantastic day of golf the only bad thing about the course is the sand traps need soft sand . Otherwise loved it
Cold Day. Slow Play
Cold day. Started off in the rain, sprinkles, sharp winds all day. No sun. Should have dressed warmer. Pace of play, very slow. Several groups in front of us were playing 'best ball' league play. I guess there was money riding on every shot. They should have moved up a tee as they were not very good. Oh well … anther time it'll be better.
Average
The course has improved over the last year and a half. Charging an extra $8 for a single using a cart is not good. I can walk as fast as these carts can drive. The carts have been governed down way too slow and some are not charged properly. I golf here twice a month, I will now only come here once a month until these problems are resolved.
Silverado review
Silverado is always a fun course to play. It’s a nice layout with fair greens fee rates. The greens were a bit disappointing today because they were very slow and bumpy..
