Silverado Golf & Country Club
About
Silverado Golf & Country Club is situated just north of Tampa in scenic Zephyrhills. It is a par-71 layout but for low handicappers, it can be extended to a par 72 by turning the lengthy 10th hole into a challenging par 4. The area's natural beauty is defined by the mature oaks that date back over 100 years and the abundant wildlife, including red tail hawks, geese, and foxes. The landscape provides an excellent round of golf, which is further enhanced by the year-round temperate climate. Bunkers treacherously lurk throughout and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course offers some challenging holes but overall, it is approachable for a range of skill levels. Silverado finishes with a par 4 that requires a difficult carry in order to make it past the pond in the middle of the fairway. Those who strategize carefully will be rewarded with a birdie.

Horrible
I have played this course many time I over the past 20 years, Played the first time in a year, this is the worst condition I ever seen I in. The carts are horrible, the course is nothing but weeds, 80% of the greens are awful. Paid 30.00 dollars. I would not under any circumstances recommend this course.
We like the course
Course was soggy from all the recent rains, and the weather was hot and humid (as usual). But we always enjoy a round at this course. It is exceptional for the price. They could use some new carts, but we made it around. One note, although the sign on the door says "Masks required", when I entered I was the only one wearing a mask. Play this course if you get a chance.
Saturday morning outing
The course was in good condition even though there has been a lot of rain. The greens were good. The fairways were good The lay out was great. A good time was had by all.
Have fun.
Good couse with bad golfers. Not many people in the middle.
Not worth the drive.
On the upside: we received individual carts without an extra charge. This seems to be the standard in my area.
The Bad: Carts extremely old and slow. Club cover was constantly falling down because the velcro was also old and needs to be replaced. Seats were in good shape. Cart paths were in horrible shape making ride very bumpy. Overall conditon was poor although fairways were mowed. Roughs were long, wet and left long. It's been months since losing a ball but today I lost 6. I will not play here again nor would I recommend it to friends
Pleasantly surprised
I have been wanting to play this course for sometime and I finally got to play it and I have to say I love the course very well kept and maintained. I played one of my best games here and I will be back.
Actually not bad
Course is still pretty wet so tons of plugged balls. Looks like they aerated a few weeks ago healing nicely. Greens are very slow and of course super grainy. Quite a few weeds on the greens but not the end of the world. A bit of a funky layout but fun to play. If this course would get the weeds under control and get their greens tight this place would be really nice, not terrible at all just saying. We had fun, customer service was solid, a place to go out and just play.
Course conditions.
It rained the day before so the course was pretty wet in a lot of places. I was surprised that the rough was so high given the conditions.
Summer doldrums
Always enjoyable to play here. A few greens are suffering from summer rains and excessive heat. The fairways have a few bare spots but overall it's a very enjoyable place to play. It's not a long course but it can be challenging.
Silverado Golf Course
Cart paths in need of repair, numerous pot holes.
Areas of fairways, greens and roughs without grass, and earth exposed, needs repair..
