Silverado Golf & Country Club
About
Silverado Golf & Country Club is situated just north of Tampa in scenic Zephyrhills. It is a par-71 layout but for low handicappers, it can be extended to a par 72 by turning the lengthy 10th hole into a challenging par 4. The area's natural beauty is defined by the mature oaks that date back over 100 years and the abundant wildlife, including red tail hawks, geese, and foxes. The landscape provides an excellent round of golf, which is further enhanced by the year-round temperate climate. Bunkers treacherously lurk throughout and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course offers some challenging holes but overall, it is approachable for a range of skill levels. Silverado finishes with a par 4 that requires a difficult carry in order to make it past the pond in the middle of the fairway. Those who strategize carefully will be rewarded with a birdie.

First time on course, enjoyed it, greens were small compared to other courses, tee boxes were in good shape, greens were all in good shape, fairways were in good shape. Driving range to close to first tee box, someone could get hurt.
A ONE COURSE
Come and play and you will enjoy this course. A hot dry spring has had no negative effects on the course.
Looking Good!
It has been a few months since I played Silverado. The greens, aprons, and most fairways are much improved. I always enjoy playing Silverado, with their friendly staff.
Nice
Played with my son who beat me even though I shot an 82. Lots of fun.
Silverado - Excellent condition
Silverado's greens are in excellent condition and rolling fairly. High % of fairways have good turf and others are simply tight lies. Tee boxes are in good shape. The course is in continuous improvement mode so it just gets better with the new ownership. Worth playing.
Review
Staff vey friendly. Pace of play was great no waiting. Will definitely recommend and come back. Great value for money
Good experience
Every Sunday there is a scramble at 11. Golf Now gave me a Hot Deal for 11:37 But staff got me paired up and out in front of large group.
Course was great and pace was a good flow.
Had a great day and the price was fair even with Snow Birds here
Fairways
Not exactly what you would call fairways .....They need a lot of work ....Greens are good Tee Boxes are good ....Fairways now need attention
Short and Slow
Played on Monday midday and it was VERY slow. $33 not a bad track but short only 6600 yds. I would play there again just because it’s $33.
Silverado
Always enjoy playing this course. However, this time is appeared to be overbooked and the starter was not pairing players letting twoeome and threesomes play in between foursomes causing delays. At the back nine we noticed players getting frustrated and leaving without finishing their round. This was unusual for this course. It took us a little over 4 hours to play and we were a threesome. For most of the round we were waiting at the tee boxes for the twosome in front of us who in turn were waiting for the threesome in front of them, etc, etc. Aside from that it is an excellent course.
More challenging than the slope rating
Tight course on quite a few holes with water & OB. A few really short holes. Some pretty bare fairways but the greens were in excellent shape. Pretty busy for a Tuesday, waiting on many holes. Cart quit on the last hole and brakes didn't work. Worth playing in the Zephyrhills area.
This is a fun fair course. Staff always friendly and helpful. A few rough spots in the fairways but overall a good course.
Decent enough course, although certainly nothing special. Cart paths are beat to pieces and in dire need of resurfacing. Some fun challenges. Would rate more positively except for the extremely slow pace. Registered as a single and got paired up with a father/son twosome. Had to wait forever at every tee box and oftentimes for our approach shots. Took us a good 5 hours to get in 18 holes. No chance to get in any rhythm. Took the fun out of what could have been a good golfing experience.
