Silverado Golf & Country Club

About
Silverado Golf & Country Club is situated just north of Tampa in scenic Zephyrhills. It is a par-71 layout but for low handicappers, it can be extended to a par 72 by turning the lengthy 10th hole into a challenging par 4. The area's natural beauty is defined by the mature oaks that date back over 100 years and the abundant wildlife, including red tail hawks, geese, and foxes. The landscape provides an excellent round of golf, which is further enhanced by the year-round temperate climate. Bunkers treacherously lurk throughout and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course offers some challenging holes but overall, it is approachable for a range of skill levels. Silverado finishes with a par 4 that requires a difficult carry in order to make it past the pond in the middle of the fairway. Those who strategize carefully will be rewarded with a birdie.

Fair
Greens in good shape but a little slow, pace of play was good! Tee boxes average fairways a little thin on grass
Nice course
Nice place to play.
Good layout..
Greens have a bit if foreign grass
18th hole socks...
Tee Boxes
Tee Boxes need to be mowed. Unfortunately rain curtailed play. Would play again if I’m in the area.
5 hr round
Saturday 1:30 tee time, lady answered the phone as soon as we walked up to the counter, proceeded to take a 5 minute message writing down the callers name time contact information date of play requests etc, instead of putting on hold for 2 minutes to check us in. $24 15 pack of pinnacle in the pro shop is the best thing I can write about concerning this round. Doesn’t stop there. No ranger in sight, pull up to first tee to a 6 cart log jam. Guy in front of us playing with his wife had a leg injury, understood, proceeded to walk from tee to fairway to drop shots find balls etc never once just said us “go ahead and pass” even though we played the tips as a twosome and spend less than 5 minutes on a given hole. Layout is weird, easy and straight but power lines yes the same you see on the side of the road, come into play on 5 holes. Fairways Average greens are decent and roll slow and true. Glad we only paid $22.
Fun
Not a terribly difficult course if you play from the correct Tee Box. Lot of holes have a little trick to them. Courses in very good shape a little problems here and there on The Fairway but overall very good, greens are in good shape they keep the pace of play going, there's a marshall! Well worth the money and you'll be back
