About
Silverado Golf & Country Club is situated just north of Tampa in scenic Zephyrhills. It is a par-71 layout but for low handicappers, it can be extended to a par 72 by turning the lengthy 10th hole into a challenging par 4. The area's natural beauty is defined by the mature oaks that date back over 100 years and the abundant wildlife, including red tail hawks, geese, and foxes. The landscape provides an excellent round of golf, which is further enhanced by the year-round temperate climate. Bunkers treacherously lurk throughout and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course offers some challenging holes but overall, it is approachable for a range of skill levels. Silverado finishes with a par 4 that requires a difficult carry in order to make it past the pond in the middle of the fairway. Those who strategize carefully will be rewarded with a birdie.

Decent course
Course was in great shape. I think one green had an about a 3’ circle spot. Layout or pretty straight forward. Literally. Most holes are pretty straight. Food was decent. Service throughout was good. Give it a go.
Sandy and Punched Greens
Course layout is mostly flat and open. Fairways were nice and green but with mixed strands of grasses. Tee boxes were hit and miss, mostly miss, many were chewed up.
Cart paths dont go all the way from tee to green but many were bumpy.
Greens were very sandy and punched as of 8/25/23.. We felt like there should have been a discount or at least some notification about it. Not a bad day but nothing special. Pace was slow with many singles jumping from hole to hole out of nowhere to right in front of us.
Good balue
Excellent Greens.. I sunk 3 20 foot putts. However the course layout was not very interesting. I actually hit the electrical wires when I teed off on hole 3. I like other courses that seemed tucked away and not on a busy road
Really good course, but just like my other times playing here, I was held up by slower individuals in front of me that refused to let me play thru. They seemed more intent to look for lost balls rather than playing golf.
Dehydrated
I've played here many many times and it is a fun course to play. HOWEVER, we played in about 100 degree weather yesterday and there is ABSOLUTELY NO DRINKING WATER AVAILABLE ON THIS COURSE, unless you want to drink warm water out of one of the bathrooms. Very disappointing and easy to fix. I play all of the public courses in the Tampa Bay area, and I don't know of another one with no ice water available in several locations throughout the course. I will not be back until they provide water or the weather cools down.
One of my favorites
Silverado is always friendly and very well maintained. It is one of my greatest places and I always enjoy my rounds there.
Water!
We like the course and play it regularly. Conditions are good. However, playing in 95+ temp and high humidity, there is NO WATER ON THE COURSE! That's my only complaint.
