This course has great features
newly renovated, golf GPS was struggling with inaccurate distance measurements.
Disappointing
I was excited to give this course another try, as I drive by it every day on my way to work and I had not yet played it since it reopened. Unfortunately my disappointment was almost immediate as I had brought my 7 year old to ride along with me and was told no spectators were allowed. We wouldn’t even have required an 3rd cart for our group as we had one walker and I was fine with paying the standard spectator fee. Absolutely the stupidest policy I have ever heard and god forbid my 7 year old slowed up our 5 hour plus round where we did not once see a marshall. Multiple greens had tire marks from the lawnmower as if the maintenance crew had just learned how to mow a green. Only plus side was they are at least charging a reasonable green fee, as this is no more than a $67 course, also the ladies in the coffee shop were very nice to my daughter after the course had decided not to let her ride with me.
Greens were bad
You would think that after being remodeled, the greens would not be so beat up. Does no one fix ball marks on the greens?
Way too slow
The condition and weather was great but the pace was WAY TOO SLOW.
They need to have a few marshals out on the course monitoring pace of play. On the fifth hole there were 3 groups on the tee box waiting to tee off. It took us 4 1/2 hrs to just play 15 holes and we never were able to finish our round before dark.
BTW GPS range finders do not work on the holes.
238...
We played yesterday.
Tee time 1203
2:38 to play front. No Marshall seen.
Course is dry and hard pan, except the bunkers which were mud and soaked.
I expected a lot more from this recently renovated course.
Traffic
It's a shame it's too close to a California freeway... Too much noise. I didn't think it would be that loud! Nice staff, good food, interesting layout, but the noise inn every hole is too distracting.
