El Crapo!!
This used to be Summitepointe and we used to pay $30 per game then. They changed the name of the course and we got confused and booked by mistake on Golfnow for $100 a pop. Same old course and they think they are now pebble beach. Bad course for $100. Are you kidding me??!!

Lacks the $100 course appeal
Greens are much better with the new management, but overall conditions are not worth the price. Go play cinnabar instead at this price.

November round - course was good
Very friendly staff, Greens in good shape, aprons beautiful
Nice bunkers, great sand
Greens play tough, correct approach shot placement is rewarded
Some risk reward tee shots, as well as playing smart when driver isn’t needed.
The par threes require skill to score well, poor tee shots leave tough up/downs
Elevation changes abound, so be prepared to make adjustments to your distances
Great views of the south bay

Too pricey for current course conditions
They are trying to fix the course but until it is in better condition they shouldn’t try to get get over the top green fees. Even though the course was dry it was cart path only, wish this was mentioned up front, I would have passed. The course will probably be very nice in a couple of months.

Great time
Very difficult layout but well manicured and fun. Staff was great and a good time. Will play again. Played with my sone for Thanksgiving and they were very nice to him. Very nice range also. Good day.

No fun at Bay view GC
Tee time at 11:12 but there was no cart available until 11:53 am . Very slow with a lot of hi handicap players .

On the right track but still not there
Improving from its all time low in 2019 when it became a dog track. Re-brand and some decent money have improved the course, but it's nowhere near where it was 15+ years ago when it was a top course in the area. Still needs a lot of maintenance work.

Improving but still needs work.
For the money they are overpriced.
Could be nice but unfair.
Too many blind shots and undefined hazards.

Everything is good, except some places on fairway and green could be in better maintenance .

The practice facilities
I come here (or at least used to) a few times a week to work on my game. They offer a grass range, which they do a pretty good job at maintaining.
The putting green and chipping green are also decent. Chipping green is kind of small, so can really only handle about two people simultaneously practicing.
What I don't like:
1. Range is irons only, it only goes about 200 yards deep.
2. No public schedule when the range is mats only. I go there to mostly hit off grass, so I get disappointed when I show up and the grass range is closed.
3. The reason why I don't go anymore is they raised their prices. $18 for large, $14 for medium. Not worth it IMO.

Poorly maitained
I paid $75 for the round on a Monday morning, which I think is too high for the quality of the course. Lots of people are still working on the course so hopefully it becomes better. But right now it's definitely under maintained.

The course is in bad shape
The course was in bad shape and the holes are not that interesting (except #11).

Continues to Get Better
I last played this course just over a month ago. Since then, the improvements that the new ownership has implemented have started to take place.
I found several of the greens to be very challenging. They are slick. I was told that they are trying to slow down a couple of them that are more sloped than the others.
We had the first tee time of the day. Got our round in in just over 3 hours!
They have seeded a lot of areas that have been bare in the past. Once the rains come, these areas should really improve.
I came away from my round thinking how challenging it was and deciding that I need to play here more often!

Disappointed
Played with two singles on a Saturday. The greens (and pin placements) were unfair. For example: On a par three (13), one player had a 3 ft. downhill birdie putt. He just got it rolling, missed the cup, and ended up 30 feet past the hole. Other times, we had uphill putts and they ended up rolling back down past where we started. The course conditions were mediocre, at best. Bayview needs to improve on a lot of things, before charging $90 for greens fees. Rather than spending a lot of money on high end golf carts, it could have been better spent on the course itself. On a high note, the service was great from everyone involved.
