The Golf Club at Rancho California

Come back to Golf Club at Rancho California on my trips to the Temecula area and it never disappoints. Conditions consistently good, great value and the greens bunker renovation project is finished - only gripe is the sand depth is inconsistent. For as much play the course gets, it's in great shape. A bit slow on the front as had a 4-some that were spraying it all over the place and seemed out for more of a good time than actual golf,, but jumped them at the turn and the back 9 sailed. Course could use some marshalling as it does attract a wide range of golfers and abilities which can cause some slow ups, especially on the first 3 holes.

Was the busiest I’ve ever seen it. Staff was still great, pace was great, round was a lot of fun.

The course is in fair to good condition. They were doing some maintenance when I was there so they are trying to keep the place up. It’s a fun track with a challenging but fair layout.

The course was in good shape. It played long due to the cold weather if that makes sense but it was overall a good experience. The bunkers were the best I've played in a while unfortunately, i was in a few! LOL!! but I still had a great day to say the least. Greens were receptive but fast, fairways were decent. This is a solid course to play and totally worth the value!

Course is fun and reasonable. Great conditions. Wish they had a cart girl.

Probably the best greens in the Murrieta/Temecula Valley.

Had an 8:35 tee time & it took 3 hours to get through 9 holes. We had to wait 5-10 minutes on every tee box and fairway. There was no marshall in sight maintaining the pace of play. Our group decided to leave at the turn and they were unwilling to do anything for us and completely unapologetic. There was “no club manager” or any information on when they would be there. The young girl working the pro shop on 11/3/24 was extremely rude and unprofessional, even at check in. Will NOT be returning

I enjoy this course and layout. Not surprising considering the designer also designed Oakmont CC and Spyglass. The conditions are improving with the cooler weather. Bunkers are first rate with white sand. The fairway bunkers lack the soft white sand but it’s not really needed as these shots should be hit ball first. A few of the fairways are rougher than others but improving. Looking forward to playing again.
