The Golf Club at Rancho California

I always play on Wednesdays, for the first time, all the holes were cut well, except for the "volcanoes" around the cup. The course itself is in very good condition, I just wish the staff were more player friendly...

Nice course, just bummed they don’t open the range until 7:00, which is machine operated. We had a tee time prior to 7 and got there 35 minutes early to practice but had to go off cold which affected the first 3 holes. But after that our play got better. Never heard of a course not having their range open though for practice.

It's been a minute since I last played here. The conditions have definitely improved from the fairways to the greens and especially the white sanded bunkers surrounding every green which were plush and fluffy. The course plays long on some holes adding to the difficulty level and skills needed to have a good round. The pace of play was good, greens were excellent, fairways were decent. I was pleasantly surprised of such good conditions and I would totally recommend this course and return for another round in the future.

The course was in great shape. From tee box to green everything was well maintained. Sand was even nice around greens.

It's taken awhile for greens to heal (they really need to be rolled!), whoever is cutting the holes needs to be trained better... More bunkers have been filled with pretty white sand, but there are far too few rakes for a clientele that can't fix their ball marks to bother raking their messes. A work in progress, but still the best deal in Riverside County.

They have done some great improvements to the course and the bunkers are about as nice as they come. The greens are always in great shape.

This being said , the golf shop staff are always rude and seem to lack the basic idea of what costumer service means. I have stoped making this a regular in my group of courses that I play because of this.

Practice facility’s,

They have also lowered the amount of range balls to 63 in a large bucket, where it used to be like 78 or something like that. I am not sure the reason for this. Seems petty. The practice facilities are great, but when you add up the rudeness of staff and the lack of a full range bucket I will drive farther away to practice just to not give them my business. I literally live two miles away from this course.

I have complained about staff in the past to no avail and change. It really keeps me from playing a nice course on a regular basis. I hope that they can accept this feed back and change even though they haven’t yet.

Played here many times, it’s a decent track for the price. Pace of play seems to be their biggest issue, with a marshal just driving around not enforcing pace of play to the groups a 1 and half holes behind. Today the our tee time wash pushed from 9:25 to 9:55 due to a “reverse shotgun tournament” going on. No problem. The gentlemen will finish up after hole 9 says the starter. Great. We finish up hole 9 and long behold, the group that has been slow all day continues to make the turn at continue onto hole 10!

Thanks y’all, just be honest next time about what’s going on, I’m in the industry, I get it! Honesty goes a long ways gentlemen!

This course has made a comeback over the past tear and is in very good condition. It is challenging do pivk your tees wisely. The grernsxare in nuce shape and have recovered well from aeration but still a bit bumpy in areas which should resolve in a couple of more weeks.
