The Golf Club at Rancho California

Like course but some area`s of greens needed some work.

It's tough to blame the course for its condition given how little water SoCal has, but this course used to be fantastic. It still has one of the better practice facilities in the valley, but the course itself has gone from being a borderline 5 star experience to a soft 3.

The Golf Club at Rancho California aka SCGA is a great layout it just needs some love!! Too many brown and patchy spots on the course, this was a great trek 10 years ago and the layout is still great!

Can walk or ride, but if you walk, you will get a A A moderate workout.

Lots of variety; not a cookie-cutter deal.

Stiff from the tips, and you'll need to know where to aim from back there. Perspective from the whites should be straight forward.

Greens were very nice; with moderate undulations If you can putt, you'll have a chance to make quite a few.

Overall, a pleasant experience

Counter help was courteous.

Lots of hills, but no label of 'billygoat applies!

A foursome. We finished in 4:05.

I'll certainly play here again.

Both nines are good. We found the back nine to be a bit more challenging.

Weather was excellent; it's SoCal, you know!

Played with a twosome we didn't know, but by the time we were done, we were 'old' friends.

The course fairways were fantastic. The greens were fast, which is nice for my taste. However, it was an incredibly tough read. The gentlemen working the pro shop was great. It was said that we had to return the carts by 4:30. Around 4:15, the Marshall told us we had to immediately return, and only said that to my group. After we told him that we could finish the hole in less than 10 minutes, and he rolled his eyes at us and mumbled something under his breath.

If you’re going to play here, make sure to get an early tee time. We could only finish 16 holes in 4 hours.

Fun layout. okay fairways. crab grass around some of the greens.

Reserved a time for 10:15 through the company website. Showed up to play at our tee time and our reservation was nonexistent and taken by another party. No apology and no explanation, but we were told that they would have a 12:20 time that we could play. The 4 of us booked the 12:20. As we got in our carts to hit the first tee, the Marshall came running out to tell us someone had taken our tee time again, and now we had to hit after them. Then he informed us to have our carts back by 4:30. Tee time was 12:20 we didn’t hit our first ball until 1:00 because of the backup at the first tee. Then the entire time we golfed the Marshall’s drove around telling everyone in front to speed up. We were completely stacked at tees sometimes 2 parties waiting at a time. What a joke. Never again

Played this course numerous times over many years, there was a time was in great shape about a year back, not the case now. May have new ownership is my only guess.

Greens on the first 6 holes completely torn up, bumpy, and diseased. After those first 6 holes they only improve slightly going from horrible to just not good. Might be two to three decent greens on the course now.

Fairways have zero to very little grass and in disrepair. Grounds crew were especially annoying.for this 630 a.m. tee time as well.

Will not be back until the course is taken care of as the setup is great. Hope that occurs sooner than later. Green fees should be around $30 max.
