The Golf Club at Rancho California

Course was not in good shape. Green have lots of burned spots. Fairways are somewhat in a mess . The Pro staff when I checked in was not friendly. I am not really recommend this course to my friends .

This course was a lot of fun but kicked my butt. Tee boxes fairways and 16/18 greens were in really good shape. Greens rolled really fast! The course layout is kind of funky when driving it but overall I really enjoyed this course!

My group of 12-16 players golf every weekend and we usually play this course once a month around 7am. This morning we we arrived their tee sheet only had 1 tee time instead of 3, which was wrong. Their manager/GM , JT Manning told me he couldn’t and wouldn’t allow our group of seniors and retired veterans to play even though it was their mistake., he didn’t even try to accommodate us. Although the tee box was empty for more than 20mins. He was willing to allow over $700 in green fees and $200-$300 in concessions to walk out the door just because he could. He was very rude and costing their club a lot of money. Stay away!

Our Group, of over 20 years has been playing different courses weekly, Saturday and Sunday, set up tee times for 3 foursomes. This morning, we found out that our tee times got canceled. All 12 players were ready to tee up. The person who set up the tee times didn’t cancel them. He was surprised too. As we were waiting, the tee box has been empty for almost 20 minutes interval. JT Manning didn’t even try to send us out.

We were frustrated. As we were talking about our situation, there there other players who came up to us to let us know that it happened to them to.

I am a Temecula residence. This course is one of the greatest purse we have in our beautiful City. If they don’t get someone behind the counter who understand customer service and how to run the course on weekends, I will not play there, I will make sure to spread the words of what happened to my group this morning.

Finally got to play a Trent Jones SR design and it did not disappoint in terms of layout. Fairways can be better but not bad at all. Very enjoyable course layout.

With the time adjustment don't expect to play 18 holes if you start after 12. They come out and remove flags on all holes starting at 4:30 and tell you to have all carts returned by 4:45.

So what if you paid to play 18 and only get to play 14 or 15 holes. They are going home...

I enjoyed playing at Rancho

. The course has some challenging holes and the green were for the most part very fast and true. I think my enjoyment was intensified by the fact that I had a hole in one on the par 3 #3. It is definitely the best value in Temecula.

I play here quite often because of its location, but the last few times the greens look like hundreds of people had a dance party in them. So many footprints causing the ball to roll very inconsistently. Some of the back nine greens are in good shape, but overall, the condition of the greens right now are unacceptable and must be addressed before I can recommend to friends .

Coming from out of town we arrived 1 hour early. There was nobody scheduled or on the tee for the next 30 to 40 minutes but pro shop would not allow us to tee off prior to our scheduled tee time without an additional fee on top of our prepaid green fees. We paid the additional green fees instead of waiting an hour. Not cool.

Ever since the course was not the southern Ca golf course , the condition of the course tee to green has been in a noticeably decline

Owner(s) need to put a little more money or dedication to it

Another bad thing is that you are still playing with daylite and you are taking the pin out. Why? Do they get stolen or is just cause you guys are in a hurry

What was once a great Robert Trent Jones Senior layout is now a festering hot mess. Weeds everywhere. Not just the rough and in bunkers, but everywhere. Even the fairways are just a mishmash of mowed weeds scalped down to something resembling fairway length. Big swatches of putting green are dead. Only the bare minimum of course maintenance is happening here. Everything looks like its in disrepair. Leaking sprinklers, toppled trees. This used to be a fantastic public golf course. Whoever runs it now apparently hates golf and people who play golf.
