Enjoyed a lot of golf here never seems to get old - large course plenty of great courses on golf now but hard to beat this place

First time playing here. Because of the decent reviews I decided to give this place a try. Not a good idea. Poor course conditions. Greens were like putting on the fringe. Fairways had lot of dried up spots. Barely any sand in bunkers. The course does have a good variety of holes. If the conditions weren’t so poor, it would be a fun course to play.

When I arrived at 10:40am from my 11:50am tee time, the course was already backed up. They were already out of carts and and the #1 Tee was already 25 minutes behind. Well off to a great start. I see. When we received our cart, it was wet from getting cleaned, however, there was still trash in it. Finally after getting off the tee and starting to play, we had a young marshal approach us on the 8th green saying that we can't play two balls per hole. Well one, wasn't our group and two, as we are on the green, the group in front of us was waiting to hit on 9 tee box. So we are not the problem. The problem was not corrected in the morning and it created a waterfall affect thus causing problems for the entire day. We waited every hole to play our tee shot and approach shot. Then by end of the round, we had deal with some drunk golfers on the golf course. What I expected to be a max of 4.5 hour round, turned into slightly over 6 hours. This is completely unacceptable and I fear the new management will ruin this course. I know I will never be back nor will my group. I would rather pay a little more and by little I mean 10-15 dollars more for more spacing on the tee sheet and much better course conditions.

The only good thing I can say is the beverage cart girl was upbeat, apologetic, and friendly. We did stop multiple times to ask us if we wanted something but that was probably due to the extreme slow play.

This new management has done an amazing job with this course. Fairways and greens are well taken care of compared to the past. Had a great time golfing this Sunday morning.

Had a few players that didn’t respect golf etiquette. Jumping in front of other players almost as if skipping holes

It feels like the course is under new ownership cause the carts/landscaping of the course was heavily upgraded. Greens were a little fast but that’s more on us. Friends and I had a great time. Especially if the course looks as great as it did

As of 6/12 drink and meal is not included with green fee anymore but still charge $49

The heavy rains did this course a lot of good. This was probably the best conditions I have seen the course in years. The fairways were good and the greens were in the best condition I’ve seen in a long time. Hopefully they maintain the new and improved conditions.

The course would be top notch if they didn’t have goofballs working the pro shop very rude like extremely rude

Everything was very good, fairways, greens and the whole course.

I had some problems at the sand bunkers, due to there was no sand, instead there were hard dirt.

but overall was good.

Don’t pay more than $20-30 to play here. Course was in fair condition and bunkers need work. Still fun to play.

I have played Shandin for many years and over the last 3 years playing there, especially on the weekend is terrible. Had a 1250 tee time and they were 30 minutes late with no available carts. They blamed this on on a tournament that morning. Really! It is always too busy there and it’s because they don’t make 2 somes become 4 somes and they shove walk ups in wherever with no thought about the pace. Done with this course for a while

Fairways were nice and mowed.. greens ran true . The work being put in is definitely starting to show with the new management.
