Not worth the money
Not only is the course in poor condition, the layout requires you have your head on a swivel. The fairways are so rough, you'll wish you were walking and not bumping around in a cart.
All is good and staff are very friendly, however, airway needs some improvement.
Fair layout but bad conditions for the price
Course needs a complete makeover. Besides the tee box and greens the whole course is run down. Probably would cost too much to fix the place. Maybe bulldoze it and build some homes.
The course is in good shape and seems to be improved!
We will enjoy this place more when the greens are ready!!!aerating the greens!!!
Over charged
Booked two tee times. One for 1230 (3 players) and a single for 1240. Didn't find out that the single player payed at course even though we were all payed for tried emailing and calling and never got a response or answer from course.
S. Hills
Course is in good shape. 1st off in the morning so pace of play was not an issue.
Best value around
Me and buddies have gone several times. The two drink and two snack meals are the way to go. Good par 4’s, 5’s and challenging 3’s. Seems the form to earth folks play there and that’s what we like.
Tee to Green
Tee boxes were in great shape. Fairways were decent but rough in some places. Some of the rough was just that, rough; but some areas of rough were very playable. Sand was normal for the ones I was in but one in my group thought they were hard in some. Oddly, no rakes at any traps. 18th hole had sand just dumped in so unplayable. Greens were firm in parts but held well for the most part. They were fast but true and in great shape.
Most of the maintenance money goes toward the greens and it shows.
Most of the maintenance money goes toward the greens and it shows. The fairways are mostly survival of the fittest. The tee boxes were OK. When you were in a green side bunker, you had to fluff up the lie so you could excite A sand shot. Lots of potholes on the cart paths. I had a bad experience on the first tee today. Seems like the locals who play there a lot don’t care how the starter wants them to go off the first tee, They would pretty much run that themselves. My tee time was 12 o’clock and I was supposed to play with a twosome. They checked in just ahead of me. They joined up with a twosome that had already teed off and then another two some came up and then another two some came up who knew each rather well so they joined up and excluded me even further back in the tee times. The expression would be the inmates are running the jail. And they were pretty rude about it even though I was standing less than 10 feet away from them. They were questioning the clubs policy of singles having teetimes. I believe the expression was “it stupid” That was the Bell twosome. I have to say that the greens were great and a real challenge To judge speed and break.
