San Dimas Canyon Golf Course

As usual tee’d off 30 minutes after scheduled tee time. 5 hour plus round was actually not too bad for San Dimas.. Course was in beautiful shape even though they were airating the greens. They left half of each green clean where they set the pins.

620am tee time. 4 hour round. Tee boxes are un even. Fairways are green and full of grass. Greens are smooth and fast. Best greens I’ve seen in the area. Fairways are narrow. Dog legs left and right. Some small greens. Some large greens. Long par 3’s. Short par 5s.

I loved this course. Got to play every club in the bag. Greens are great. Course rewards good shots.

Definitely only play early or twilight. Long par 3’s get bogged down.

Friendly staff, greens in really good condition and good layout. Place is over booked, pace of play was super slow (6 1/2 hours for 17 holes)...did not play 18 due to darkness. Will not recommend and will not return.

First time playing a full 18 at this course and I really enjoyed it. Considering the amount of rain on Thursday, the course was in really good shape and not soggy at all. Only negative for me was the pace of play, for a weekday before noon, a 5 hour round is just too long.

Started 20 min later than my t time as they had 2 tournaments at the course. Played the front nine, got permission to play the front nine afain as the back nine was backed up by 3 groups.. Got 18 in before sunset.

It took 6 hrs to play the round, did not see any Marshall to assist in pace of play.

Overbooked tee times and too many fivesomes..

Starter on the first tee is just way overthinking everything..just getting a cart is complete chaos asks my foursome if we are ready we say yes,, we drive up to the tee box and then he tells us there are 2 groups going out before us .huh? Why did you have us drive up? We end up teeing off 20 minutes past our tee time..Just complete stupidity

Stay away there are better courses in the area and better values..

The early morning staff were aloof to the point rudeness and treated us (and other customers) with disdain. The STARTER was an angry curmudgeon who went out of his way to demonstrate his own perceived superiority.

Too bad, a decent course ruined by nasty, self-absorbed staff...again especially the Starter.

We won’t go back.

Too slow. We have to wait at every holes.

It took about 3 hours to play 9 holes. There was no sign of a Marshall. We left. It was an absolute joke! I won't play there again. It's a shame because it is a nice course.

Let me start by saying the pro shop staff and starters here are very friendly and helpful BUT management here is absolutely terrible, specifically the general manager Trip, from the moment I got on the phone with him he had attitude and was extremely rude, he interrupted me numerous times and ended the conversation by hanging up on me.

The reason this conversation started was because I had a 6:12 tee time for 4 players, at 530am the day of 2 of the players had to cancel due to a tough family situation, when I let the gentlemen in the proshop know that they told me it was no problem and that I just needed to let the starter know because he had groups waiting to check in to go out and play, so they ended up pairing us up with 2 other players that filled the rest of my tee time and sent us out almost 40 minutes late due to DOUBLE booking there morning tee times. So instead of 6:12 we ended up teeing off closer to 7 which was fine at the time, that was followed up with a 5 hour round without Marshall’s trying to speed up play. The real problem was when I left the course, 3 hours later I was then charged $94 dollars for the remaining balance of my 4some even though they filled the spot and collected a green fee for the rest of my tee time. The thing that frustrated me the most was that no one gave me warning about this and just blindingly charged me, when I expressed this to the general manager he gave me tons of attitude and said it’s standard protocol and said he would not refund my money then ended up hanging up on me... To me that is a SCAM and handled very poorly, I am now out an extra $94 for a 45 minute late 5 hour round on a poorly maintained course with a horrible general manager that clearly doesn’t care about his customers. I will never golf here again and I strongly suggested you don’t either.

Negative: slow pace - Tee time 6 am, Finished at 10:45. In most courses I would finish by 9:30-10.

Positive: I really like the layout and the conditions of the greens (not perfect but good speed and predictable breaks)

This was a replay round in same day as my other disappointed players did not play well for the slow pace of playing (5 and half hours). They had me pay a higher rate for the replay round, and I had to re-booked the replay round on Golfnow.com. At the original round, There were not regular carts with GPS but two very old carts without GPS, and they did not agree to have us change the regular golf carts after we set the golf bags on the old carts when two carts with GPS were available. The marshal show up everywhere but it did help to pace of play faster.
