maintenance time poor
The maintenance crew should work earlier. They cannot water the grass while people are playing especially if players are to find their way around the course not get wet due to the direction of the sprinklers- towards the cart path. So inconsiderate.
Strange Layout
Not a great in front of you course... very odd par 5's make this a not great locations... it is a tight course, and the par 3's are really strong, but not enough to make up for the other holes..... greens were running at 11+ so it made putting almost impossible if above the hole (and I like fast green)... this is not the normal speed of these greens, but a dry hot summer and fall... just makes it ridiculous to expect to putt well here.
Pace of play was great
Always been a fun course to play but sometimes can be slow. Our threesome group finished in just 4.5 hours which was reasonable. Course was in great shape.
I got tee time through GolfNow as 12:28 on 17/17/17 and arrived 12:05. at the front of starter office. There were a lot of people were waiting... they said "one hour delaying.. lack of cart.." Also, I thought the course was so busy ( starter position is higher and easy to see the course.. )
So, I had to give up play...
Who will pay for my time.. and booking fee of GolfNow ?
SPARE YOURSELF
If you enjoy the pace of a 6 hr round and like to watch 3 groups of 5 tee off before you on every par 3, then this is the course for you. This course actually encourages sending out fivesomes and then they wonder why they are out of carts by 10am. I gave the overall rating one star, but only because the greens were in nice shape with some good pace to them.
San Dimas GC
Nice course, average pace of play, built in the foothills so expect some tough breaks, lots of deer and a few water hazards. Overall great course for the money.
Good greens
The course was in good shape and the greens were running smooth. Pace of play was slow took over 5 hours to play.
Good course..bad pace of play
Course is in great shape. It’s unfortunate that they continue to overbook. 6 plus hours for a round is ridonkulous
Why Charge today?I have seven players played that day

Monster golf
It would of been nice to know when I booked it that they changed the layout for Halloween. It was not fun especially when you are trying to improve your game.
San Dimas Morass
First time at this course. Little did I know the problems. When our tee time arrived, we were sixth in line at the first tee box. It just got worse from there. I've never seen more fairways laid side by side, with errant balls flying two fairways wayward. Dangerous. Add the absolute over-booking—or ignoring of advance tee times, more likely—and you had more people on this course at one time than should ever be on ANY course through an entire day! Finish off a lousy day at San Dimas with the most penal set of greens ever imagined. Bouncing back from aeration, the greens were hard, fast, and with the most severe slopes I've ever seen. I thought that some of the greens at Redhawk (Temecula) were similar, but at this course, 15 out of the 18 were nightmares. I can appreciate that golfers in the vicinity come here, but even the man we played with—who lives a mile away—said he rarely ever plays this course for all of the above stated reasons. Not vindictive, but we won't be back. Heed this as fair warning!
Started slow and ended slow... But the greens were so nice!
GENERAL:
A fun little course with awesome greens, but I don't know if I'll come back due to the extremely slow play and unfriendly staff. Fairways were very firm but bare in spots, greens were excellent. See below for more in depth explanation.
PACE OF PLAY: slow...took about 4:45 to finish 18. We were supposed to tee off at a bit after 6 but they were stacked up and we teed off about 15 minutes late. I think it's because they have tee times way too early before it's bright enough to see the ball so it stacks up early. Starter was stacking people on the tee box when other groups were teeing off but I think they were just trying to expedite the delay that had already begun.
FAIRWAYS: They were a bit sparse in places but generally were green. There were definitely areas that needed to be ground under repair that were not marked as such. The nice thing about them is that they were quite hard so you could play consistently for a lot of rollout.
GREENS: best thing here were the greens by far. They rolled straight and true and were probably some of the best I had seen on a public course for the price. They were challenging and fast today even when the dew was still on them. Excellent work on the greens.
BUNKERS:
Unfortunately I ended up in a couple today on the par 5s but they were really nice. Sand was fluffy and uniform. Greens crew did a nice job on these.
TEEBOXES: chewed up and uneven. Definitely need to have them mowed and regarded if possible.
LAYOUT: semi interesting course with most holes playing along side another hole with scattered trees to distinguish the layout. Spent a lot of time waiting for people to hit off of our fairways when they were playing adjacent. Might want to swap my golf hat for a hard hat... Almost got hit a few times.
Wow, I’m reading so many review from people and discovering that this course likes to overbook. Evidentially management doesn’t care because they continue to do so and people keep paying to play here. Golf courses will never change their horrible booking practices as long as people continue to play there. As for me and based on the multiple reviews, I will NOT ever play at this course. There’s far too many other courses out there that manage tee times and marshal along slow groups much better than San Dimas does.
