The Reserve at Spanos Park

Spanos is sometimes known as the "links" course in the Central Valley. All that really mean is that it just doesn't have any trees.

Fun layout, challenging, long and can tend to be windy. Worth it though!

This was our first time here. Absolutely loved this course. Challenging fairways, greens and traps. Water hazards make it fun and technical.

Highly recommend this is our new Favorite Course. Also the staff was very friendly and answered all our questions.

Course was in great shape and the greens are FAST. Slower groups were good about letting us play through as a twosome.

Brutal pace, 5-51/2 hours.

Strange since the course was not overbooked, just need course marshal to prevent groups joining together and encourage faster play.

Have played here several times, always the same slow play on a nice course.

This course is in beautiful condition with challenges galore :-) greens very well maintained and challenging. Traps very well placed to ensure you have to be on your game. This is now our new favorite course in our area here in Stockton. Staff is super friendly and eager to assist and answer all and any questions you may have. Highly recommend if you want to have a great day of fun.

Crowded, very slow, 85 degrees and no beverage cart.

The course was very well maintained. Staff was very friendly and professional. Patrons were very friendly as well. Excellent place to relax and play a nice round of golf.

Finally no rain! Course was in very good condition considering all the rain we have had. Greens were seeded so putting was slow and not true to the put. I wish they would tell us before we book a tee time? Still managed a good score!

Usually have zero issues with The Reserve & can't wait to play again. Not this time. Began with no parking in the lot...looks like they had an event at catering center & golfers were forced to park way out in the driveway. Long walk in. Then they were 20 minutes behind getting our group off the first tee. Once on the course pace of play was horrible. 3 hour front 9, groups stacked up on every tee. Seriously no fun. Half our group left after 9, not able to stomach a 6 hr round. Back 9 played in 2 hrs...my guess is quite a few folks bailed after 9, freeing up some space. Bunkers we experienced were crap, washed out with little to no sand, just mud & hard pan. Greens & fairways in great shape. Rough was punishingly long. Sadly this course is out of the rotation for a bit, need to let the frustration level drop.

We were a threesome with TWO FIVESOMES in front of us. They did not let us play through, and the marshals response was, "Yes, they sent out a few FIVESOMES today". We waited on every shot. Was not an enjoyable round.

Really like the course but over five hour rounds are unacceptable. I’m not coming back.

Fairway is beautiful, wide open, and guarded by bunkers half way down. The green is also guarded by bunkers and is very fast with wild breaks.You will be challenge and you'll have fun.

We cancelled due to excessive smoke in the air from the Northern Calif "Camp" fire. Hazardous to my respiratory issues. I still would recommend the course under better air quality conditions.

Becoming my favorite local public course. Fast and firm.

Back 9 bunkers need some work but overall conditions are great.
