Still Excellent!
I play all over NOVA and I think the greens and fairways at Bristow are the best. Kudos to the Grounds staff! The bunkers need work but I know those are really expensive to fix/maintain. A few tee boxes need to be graded (Gold #3, #12, #13) to be flat. My one minor complaint was I had a 0730 tee time and the grill wasn't open to get breakfast and coffee. I don't know if that is by choice or simply staffing shortages but I would think you would want to be able to take care of the early tee times. Regardless, I will definitely be back to play Bristow. Remains a favorite!
Great course for a fair rate
Never disappointed when I play here. Fun links style course with greens that are fun and challenging.

Overall Good - Pace of Play and tee boxes can be improved
Played here multiple times over the past 2 years. Pace of Play was probably the slowest its been. Maybe it was because of Father's Day but I feel the staff could speed things up here.
Tee Boxes could use some TLC.
Overall I love the course and would come back.

Nothing special
Greens, Tee Boxes, Rough in ok condition. Fairways have damage. Sand traps are awful. Starter was unhelpful and grumpy. $25 for my own cart is way overpriced.

Great green conditions
Course is in good shape, especially the greens. Good to see ACTUAL sand in some of the bunkers as well.

We love Bristow
The course was great, greens, tee boxes and fairways were excellent.
Just a couple of niggles.
I don't like playing without a warmup on the range. So I phoned before booking to check the range was open on the morning we were booking, and a lady answering the phone said it was.
We got there early to use the range and it was closed.
We were told that those calls sometimes go through to Golfnow and this how the misinformation can occur. So it sounds like a Golfnow problem.
Pace of play wasn't the fault of the course. We caught up with a foursome who insisted on playing from the back tees and 2 in the group could barely get the ball passed the ladies tees. They were all over the place. However I'm not sure how a course can manage groups that massively over estimate their firepower.

Love the greens and fairways.
4.5 hours to get around with foursome..some waiting an last 5 holes but overall good pace. Late afternoon played as a single and felt like I owned the course. 3 hours to get around. Greens A+, fairways A+, layout. B+, sand traps C-. ...price..reasonable if not a bargain.

Nice Course for Money
My 13 yo son and I celebrated a half day of school and nice weather by visiting Bristow, and had a great time! The staff in the clubhouse and starter were all business, not very chatty, but got us out on the course on time and well spaced. The 10 minute intervals made a big difference from other courses six minutes, as the pace was good but never felt rushed or pushing someone's tail. Agree with others that the course layout on front nine can be a little confusing, but wide open fairways were helpful for our VERY amateur status. Paired with two veterans of the course who were a lot of fun, probably the best foursome play we've had in a while. Would definitely come back and play there again!
