Great Veterans Day Weekend Golf
Beautiful and seasonably warm day to play a great round of golf. Course was in great shape. Staff were very accommodating and friendly.

Great conditions for November
The conditions of this course are great. Extremely well maintained for November, the greens were in good shape besides people not fixing ball marks. Fairways were nice. Not the most challenging course and a tad overpriced for the area, but a really nice experience overall. I will definitely play here again.

Always good
Bristow remains one of my top courses in NOVA. The conditions are always good with smooth greens and nice fairways. The rough is reasonable. Some of the bunkers need some work. The staff is always very nice.

Perfect conditions but lacks amenities
Challenging layout with excellent conditions tee to green. Bring plenty of water bottles because this course has maybe 1 water station on the whole course. Also no ball washers. Overall the course is amazing clubhouse is amazing and I will definitely be back.

Always Great Greens
I've played here a number of times and the greens and fairways are always very good. Some tee boxes need to be leveled (they are crowned) and the bunkers need some love but overall, always an enjoyable round. Bristow will stay in the NOVA rotation.

Never recommend
This place will never come again It's not very good. I can't play a fun game because I wait for a long time and there are many people. I don't recommend it at all.

Major Pace of Play Issues
This course has great fairways, excellent greens and I really like the layout. The bunkers are a mess with most either having very little sand or virtually no sand. The bunkers that do have sand are hard packed so it's like hitting off hard pan if you are fortunate enough to land in one. The course itself would be great if they could fix the bunkers. The MAJOR issue with this course is the pace of play and lack of any real enforcement by the marshals. If you play here on a Saturday or Sunday, you should plan on your round taking at least 5 1/2 to 6 hours to complete. On several occasions now, I have actually just given up after 9 holes and gotten a rain check, which I would add is now something they don't even hand out if you purchase your round through GolfNow.

Fairways and Greens
The fairways and greens are in excellent condition. Tee boxes could use some work however the most disappointing part are the bunkers. There were only a handful of bunkers that you can play out of. The rest were either washed out or hard compacted. Come on Bristow, let’s get this fixed!

1st frost delay of the year
Frost overnight led to a delay of an hour or so. The course was in great shape for this time of year which shows the excellent care they take on the property. Had a great round on a beautiful course. The only thing to mention is that there are a number of holes with fairways adjacent to others. We hear “fore” about 20 times!

Good public course but......
I have played this course many times and for a public course it is a good value and generally is in good shape. On the date I played the pace of play was horrible. Repeatedly 2 to 3 groups stacked on the tee box and not much help from Marshals. We were offered a rain check on 10 if we wanted to leave. I normally enjoy this course but not on this date.

Hidden Gem
Enjoyed the course but am sure it’ll be even more enjoyable after a few more plays as it’s not the usually driver, wedge type of course. Course knowledge is a must or play with someone who can inform you on how to play many of the holes. Enjoyed the layout and challenge. As an 8 hdcp I look forward to playing it again with more intelligence behind my shots!

Good shape but slow
I generally enjoy playing this course. However, there needs to be a presence out on the course to help speed up play. I've never seen a marshall on the course. When I got to 10 green, there was a group on 11 green, two groups on 11 tee, a group on 12 fairway, and nobody on 12 tee. And we waited for the rest of the round.
Also, have you considered reversing the 9s, so that 18 would end right at the clubhouse?

Amazing conditions, quirky layout
Fairways are like carpet. As good as a TPC. Greens are pretty fast and roll true.
However, the layout specifically on the front nine drops the likability. A couple holes are nearly impossible to bogey much less par or birdie even from the middle tees. Additionally only one of the par fives allows a driver to be hit off the tee.
I have shot 11-12 over on the front and 1-2 over on the back multiple times. The front is just too quirky to make this as enjoyable as the conditions would normally allow.
