Nice layout but slow, slow, slow
This is a nice course but the recent rains made it very muddy today. The real problem was the slow play. Terrible. We were going to stop after 9th but continued on. No one from the course ever checking on pace of play?
Rough shape
First time playing the course. Has a good and challenging layout. How to hit shots though with standing water in 30% of bunkers. Greens also really bumpy and slow. Grass around greens were spotty and tee boxes rough. Wanted to like the course but a 5 hour round and poor course conditions made it a no for me.

Never play this course after heavy rain on the prior day. Does not drain.

Beautiful Course, need more drainage
This was one of the nicest courses I’ve played in a while. The greens are phenomenal, and the fairways are great! The only issue is that when it rains water pools in the bunkers and the rough. Better drainage would be nice, but overall I Loved this course! I’ll definitely will be back!

Cost
This course charged and extra $15 for a single cart because of COVID 19. The course is NOT worth $80. They should indicate the extra cost on the website.

Great course for the money.
I’ll be returning soon with my buddy’s for a challenging round of golf. This is a very good course.

The day after TS Laura
Of course, the fairways had a lot of water on them, which was expected, All of the bunkers had pools of water in them and were unplayable. The intermediate black tee boxes were worn. The greens were in excellent condition, probably better than any other Northern Virginia public course available this late in August! The slope rating accurately indicates the challenge-level this course provides. Long hitters will find the gold tees in great shape and long enough (6700+) to fit their game.

Bristow
Bristow’s fairways and greens are in nice shape. Bunkers have a lot of rocks. Other than that, it’s impressive. Go golf it!!

Great condition and value
Overall the course was in great conditions. Fairways were very lush and green receptive.
Tee boxes had some rough areas were little grass was going. Greens would be even better if players would repair their ball marks. Great staff and services even during these restricted times.

Great Course but it's hard to recommend right now...
I love the course. It's in great shape and the staff is great. My main issue this past weekend is with their current policy on carts. I played on a Saturday afternoon so it was busy and they paired me with a threesome since I was a single. I was told they did not have enough carts so I was required to ride in a cart with one of the members from the threesome. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue but with social distancing requirements today, it really bothered they would put someone in that position. There is no way to social distance when you are riding around in a cart for 18 holes. I only posted this review so others can be aware if you show up on a busy day, you may only have the option of riding with someone, walking, or choosing not to play. Anyway, it's a great course and still one of my favorites in the area.

Great course!
We play this course once a week and even back to March they had the best conditions hands down. They do an amazing job keeping up all the tee boxes, fairways and greens l here. Also not too expensive and clubhouse burgers are solid. All in all great course! Pace of play when course is loaded is slow but manageable.
