Course is in great shape; the greens are firm and fast, and they are well taken care of by the crew. Fairways are slowly coming in, but that's not a problem. The greens are among the smoothest in the area. You'll enjoy your round out here. The rough around the greens is thick, but not unfair.

Bristow is always in great playing shape especially for the price.

The back 9 specifically needs a ranger driving around to maintain pace of play. 4 groups on the same hile should never happen.

When you share a cart (I walked) you can’t have social distancing. This is one of many VA courses that do this. Under normal conditions, it is a great course, very challenging, target golf links style and great fun.

Great course. Greens were sandy from recent aeration but still were lightning fast. Fairways have tons of roll to them. Traps were in good shape for this time of year. Practice range is excellent and there are 2 practice putting greens. Greens were so firm that even well stuck short irons ran out on the surface. If you are a good player, you'll really be challenged at this course.

We took a drive to Virginia which has open public courses and tried out the highly regarded Bristow Manor course. The ratings are accurate and this is a fabulous course and tough. The only reason I did not give a 5 star was the greens had been aerated and were sandy. Even still, I've never seen sandy greens so fast and firm in my life. This course challenges every part of your game.

The fairways are not real wide and they are extremely firm . You'll get tons of roll on well hit shots. The bunkers are well placed and its extremely rare to be able to hit a shot short that rolls onto the green. You'll need to hit high accurate shots as the greens do not hold anything that's not perfectly struck.

The tees are in excellent shape as are the sand traps. The holes have foam inside that allows you to putt the ball into the hole rather than playing to raised cups that many courses do.

The practice area is large and there are 2 practice putting greens. The staff is nice and the hot dogs are top notch.

If you do not live in VA and want to take a ride to a super course, go play Bristol Manor and have a great day.

I’ve seen this course on Golf now for years. I tried this week due to the course closings. I’ll be coming here even after things are back to normal. Nice track. Good yardage. Greens and fairways. Yes yes yes.

Like the course a lot! kind of Linksy. Really cool layout. Great finishing hole. I definitely recommend Its open during the Covid ban against fresh air and exercise

Played Bristow Manor twice within a weeks time. Staff was excellent. Played in 4 hours 10 minutes. I love the layout of the course. No hole is the same. Greens were in great shape. Smooth and quick. Will be on my rotation of courses to play in 2020.

One of the best kept secrets in the DMV golf area. The greens are as good (fast and true) as courses I pay 2 to 3 times the green fees. Old school design of having the last green played near the next holes tee area (good for walking and pace of play).

For early April the course was in pretty good shape and greens were fast (not aerated yet) for a women, very difficult unless you hit a monster drive! Rough in the middle of where the ball lands and should be still fairway. For guys not so bad .

Played this course today and it’s been a while but still a good course. Greens were in great shape. Roughs were tough today, could use a trim but you were punished in you missed fairways or green.

Friend and I ventured out to play Bristow Manor, and although we only played 14 holes due to rain, we had a good time. The course is in good shape, and the greens were playing very firm and fast. Fairways are still coming to life, but they were smooth. Although no rakes in the bunkers (for obvious reasons), you could see that they had been raked that morning. Friendly staff in the pro shop, and I also enjoy the use of a grass driving range to hit a couple balls to warm up. Hopefully next time we are here, the weather holds off.

I've been playing a lot of courses in Virginia lately, but this one has the worst layout in the front 9 (didn't get a chance to play the back 9), so I have to leave after nine holes because I could not stand the course layout because i was so fed up with the front 9.

6 out of 9 holes have the creeks run across the holes. the only par 3 have water in front of the green, and the other par 3 was over 200 yard long with ravine in the middle. So the only hole that I like is Hole #1. I will never play there again!

A beautiful spring day and a perfect compliment to a great course! Bristow is lush and very well maintained. Kudos!
