From the practice green you can see parts of over half the holes on the front nine. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 07/15/2017
This course has great fairways & greens
Zoysia grass fairways are beautiful. Greens are firm and in excellent condition. They are fast and hold their line. Like playing two very nice but different corses: parkland front nine and links back nine. Nice practice green for putting and chipping. Driving range has golfers hitting off grass, not mats! Well done.
This place is well taken care of!!!!
Tee boxes, fairways and greens are fantastic. Course is in great shape and yet there is still maintenance going on. The staff is doing a great job out there at Bristow!
Pace is so to look slowwww
Course is nice, BUT too many groups of 5 players playing. Took 5.5 hours!!!!
Great course
First time I've played Bristol Manor in more than 10 years as I've moved. The course was in great shape and the greens awesome! Medium speed but soft enough to hold the ball. Will definitely look to play there again next time through. Didn't catch the name of the fellow in the pro shop but is a retired teacher new to the area. Thanks!
Bad tee time management
We waited at least 15 min on every hole to tee off. I had to quit after 16th hole since it gotten dark.
Great course for the price!
Course is in fantastic shape with exception of some sand bunkers -- need more sand.
Only recommendation is to replace golf carts -- they're falling apart.
Nice pace for a change
Have always loved this course. Layout is very challenging, make sure you choose your club wisely, it Will bite you if you don't. My only complaint has been over booking. There was a very good pace, which always makes for a more enjoyable round.
Hidden Gem
Bristow Manor was a welcome change over the majority of courses in the area. The course was well manicured and the greens rolled true. The layout is very challenging but fair. Good course management is a must. The staff was very friendly and courteous. I definitely plan to play this course again in the near future.
Best course conditions
Tee through greens,by far the best course conditions I've played on this summer. Great value for the "hot deal" price. Challenging course with a little of everything.
Better be on your game when you play here
Play for position and you will do okay, get greedy and you will pay dearly. Love the zoysia fairways, always a good lye.
Great course for beginner to pro
The front nine is narrow and challenging, with decisions to lay up or go long after the first 3 holes. The second par three is long, 200+ yards...great challenge. Good dogleg left for #9.
Back nine is more open, great uphill for #10. Holes 14 and onward are excellent for short iron play with rolling hills and trapped protected greens.
Great country club style course without the club dues.
One of my favorites.
Nice course, will go back
Course was in good shape, greens were very nice. Some of the holes are challenging, definitely want to get back for another crack at them! A little slow pace of play, but it was a holiday so I expected it. Really only interacted with the guy in the pro shop who checked us in (very friendly and efficient), and the starter (seemed a little cranky, but only had to speak with him for a minute.) Thought it was a great deal for the $42 Hot Deal I got.
Excellent Shape
This course was in great shape. The layout is challenging but fair. This was my first time playing and I definitely expect to be back.
This course has fantastic fairways and greens
One of the best courses in northern VA for the price. Only criticisms are the sand bunkers and golf carts. Some bunkers need more sand and the carts are old and beat up. Time for new ones to be leased. Friendly staff and great food and beverage services at the club house.
In great condition!
Bristow is always a tough layout, but the course conditions right now are awesome.
