Lionhead Golf and Country Club - Masters
About
The Masters Course at Lionhead Golf & Country Club is ideal for golfers who don't feel they are prepared to take on the demanding Legends Course at the club, which has been ranked as one of the toughest courses in North America. The Masters layout is similar to golf courses in Florida, with unique bunkers and scenic ponds that meld perfectly with the rolling hills and wetlands that dot the scenic landscape. Its more traditional layout is considered the kinder and gentler of the two golf courses at Lionhead Golf & Country Club, but there are still a fair amount of challenges. The Masters course requires several long carries over water, particularly on the 16th. This infamous par 5 features a green surrounded by water.

Great Golf day
from bag drop, through the pro shop and the restaurant, to the starter to the marshal - this is a great setup for a golf day. Good challenge and great conditions on the course.
Horrible management!
This course is wayyyy over price for what you get, we played a 6 hours round yesterday, complained and no response whatsoever, they had a tournament and they first told us that they had spaced out the t times so that there would be no delay and they had Marshals all over, well, not only there was no marshal on the entire round but when we called the club house to complain about the pace they totally ignored us.
Also for a course that charges so much money they have no attire rules, if they do they dont enforce it, there was a threesome behind us that not only 1 guy had no clubs and was playing, but they were waring gym short and construction shoes, also saw some other guys waring Tshirt
Really disapointing, the course itself its fun to play with a good degree of dificulty but they have to learn how to run it
Good redance
one of the best for sure
This is a very well maintained and challenging golf course, it is without a doubt one of the best courses I've played. I would definitely play this course again.
Great course, undulating greens
The course is in very good shape, fairways are clean and well maintained. The greens are large and undulating making every putt challenging and enjoyable. The staff is super friendly and customer service is equal to none.
Nice track. Too crowded, but good value for money at just under $100 thru golfnow
Nice track. A little too much traffic and one or two silly holes. Had no idea where I was going off half the tees. Would be more playable second time around.
Great course for the discounted rate.
For the amount paid using Golnow - it was worth the money. The pace of play was very slow. But We still enjoyed the track.
very good, challenging layout
This course offers quite a challenge. Great layout, with left and right doglegs. Many longer holes were tree lined, which offered a greater challenge. I thought the greens could have been better, however the rainy conditions may have had an impact on the greens. One thing I thought lacking was ball washers. They were only a few on the course with no towels. On a wet course it would have been great to have. Overall it's a wonderful course that I will play again.

Very nice course, but for what you pay they should include a GPS system on the cart.
I've always liked this course, it is very challenging. The rough is very heavy, so when you are in there it's tough to get out. The greens are very testy, lots of angles and slopes to worry about. I would play again.
They pack the course and it was backed up all the way. Close to 6 hour round.
They pack the course and it was backed up all the way on every hole. It took us 5 hours and 40 minutes to finish the round.
Well organized
I expected a more scenery type course for the reputation it has. This is my first time there. It is maintained the greens are well kept and so are the fairways. Lots of divits off some tees and some fairways , so caliber of people playing on this course are some what hackers. The club house is very nice and outdoor area is enjoyable for a drink after golf
Very playable course
Nice course in pretty good condition for the amount of play it has. It is in need of a few loads of sand as many of the bunkers are very low on sand. This is my only complaint is the poor conditions of many bunkers. They were in fact working on some on the 7th hole while I was playing so I am sure it will be great moving forward.
Fabulous day of golf
Course was in fantastic condition no hold ups zipped around in 3 1/2hours perfect
Great Golf
The staff were friendly but aloof. The course was in excellent condition and the greens were fast and true.
The carts were less than expected from a course of this calibre, no gps or range finder ability. At a posted $150 a round I would have expected better. The pace of play was excellent.
Challenging course, well designed holes.
This course requires you to pay attention to your major course management - it's not a course you can hit driver on every hole. It's in good shape, and the edged bunkers and second cut were a nice touch. There are lots of elevation changes, and shorter holes are lengthened by elevated and undulating greens.
I found the cart guys were a bit out to lunch, but the pro shop team was nice. It's not worth 150 bucks - especially when having to pay for a bucket of warmup balls, but it's a good play for 60 bucks. We lucked out and happened to be the first ones off after a tournament and didn't see another group all day, making the round much more enjoyable and take 4 hours for some alright golfers.
fair value at $70, but not full price
Strong layout but greens need attention, slow and covered with pitch marks. Managed to repair 3-6 pitch marks on every green and up to 10 on island green #16.
Great challenging course
Even with some rain, this challenging course still had pristine fairways and roughs. The greens were quick to dry and made putting less difficult.
