About
Cardinal Lakes Golf Club offers two 18-hole courses, a championship and an executive. The Sparrow Course is the original executive layout and while it may only be 4,909 yards, it offers the same challenges as its championship sister course. The generous fairways, many of which are doglegs, are flanked with rough areas and there are numerous ponds and lakes that come into play. Surrounded by trees and bunkers, the small greens demand accuracy. It may be a short layout, but this formidable golf course requires careful course management, proper club selection, and solid short game skills. While it may often be overlooked because of its length, the Sparrow is Niagara's most formidable short track

A Lovely Day
The course was in great shape. The pro shop staff and starter were very nice
September Golf in Canada
Sparrow is one of our favourite small courses. Quite a lot of rain in the past while and the course was very wet. Under the circumstances the course was in great shape and we thoroughly enjoyed our round. We try to play Sparrow a few times a season and based on our last experience we plan on playing there again next year
Great course however
Love playing here and have played many other courses but I seem to come back here because I love the course however some of the staff are miserable. We will now go back and play riverview pay a little more but you are treated with friendly staff!!
Pace of Play...
I really enjoy this golf course, but, on this day, everyone was teeing off on the 'back 9', and we were waiting on every hole due to the backup. I was told by an employee that they did this to 'mix it up' for the older golfers that usually only play the front 9 holes... we were playing 18 holes, and could have had a more enjoyable round had it been faster.

We played here for the first time, and thoroughly enjoyed the course, very short but in pristine condition, the only kick was that we had a ton of rain between 6 and 8am that morning, and the course was very wet.I talked to a friend at work who lives in Welland and ha told me they have always had drainage issues there so that is something to keep in mind, otherwise fairways are beautiful, greens are beautiful, a very nice day indeed.
A fun and challenging shorter course that lends itself well to walking.
This course has nice features, challenging holes for the mid to high handicap player, is scenic and well maintained. A very pleasant round of golf.
Not bad for the price
The course is decent but there’s no map so dogleg holes were a bit difficult to to tee off on. Also difficult to identify where water hazards were. Conditions were pretty good - some wet areas. Course is mostly flat and shorter than many. Made for a good round.

Very friendly staff, the value was spectacular, and the clubhouse was way above par !! I wished I lived closer so I could get a membership !

No need to be a long hitter, better to polish up your putting skills, and iron play.
Nice course, friendly staff
I enjoyed this course, we played the Sparrow and it was fairly short. This worked well for my wife isn’t a long baller. The course was in excellent shape, especially the greens. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was excellent and reasonably priced.
The only knock I’ll give it was there were no Marshalls. We were stuck behind an extremely slow foursome who would not allow us to play through. We had to skip a hole to get around them. It spoiled a rather enjoyable round.
Great Course
Cardinal Lakes Sparrow course was a really nice course. There were a lot of people playing today and yet the pace of play was still very good. It had rained a lot the day before so the course itself was a bit squishy in places but still very playable.
