Great day
Great day for golf. Greens were in good shape, fairways nicely cut
Naval Jet Noise Ladies-there are only porta johns for bathrooms
Decided to play here while on vacation. First off, the starter was AWESOME!!!!! Very interesting gentleman from NY. Wonderful to talk to while waiting to tee off.
Pretty fair off the tee, great greens. BUT....Oceana naval base decided to do jet training that day and buzzed us all day. The noise was deafening. It made us miserable. Trying to hurry up and hit before they circled back throws off your game.
Ladies take note. Use the bathroom before you go to the course. They only have porta potties. No real bathrooms. We all know men aren't the cleanest of creatures.
Not the courses fault since the just got approved to build the clubhouse.
First time on this course
The course needs more maintenance, especially on the greens. The greens were very bumpy and hard. The green speed varied with each hole.
Impressive
What an amazing course. Diamond in the rough to say the least. Club house is a trailer right now but There is approval from the city for a real club house soon. This place looks like all the pictures of links courses in Scotland. To score low on this course percussion shots are required but large fairways and lack of trees make it forgiving at the same time. This course suits all playing levels. Will be back. Only 2 cons that I have are tee box signs are randomly placed “near” the tee boxes and cart paths are not finished and feel like they are in the middle of being redesigned.
Great course
Great course but very slow to move. Apparently it was overbooked.
Nice round
weather was wet so not many tee times. No wait at all. Course gets better each time I play it. Tee boxes were good, fairways nice, greens al.ost perfect. Even had sand in traps which has been ra f e around here. It is now my goto course. Hopefully the overdue clubhouse will begin soon.
Vacation from Ohio
On vacation from Ohio. So went on Golfnow and brooked for 16 dollars. What a great deal. Only got to play 9. Ranked started coming down to hard. So the course give me a free 18 card. Just have to pay for the cart. Staff was very good and friendly. So am hoping to go back before I had back home.
Unique Course for the Area
Only downsides were the lack of signage and no clubhouse. Links style course is a rarity in the area and this one definently is unique for the majority of courses in the area. For $25/pp its a good value. Some of the tee boxes are right next to each other hitting in the same direction so errant tee shots onto other players can occur.
Glad to Be Back
Course has come a long way from its' initial opening. I'm kinda glad folks still aren't aware of the improvement it has seen over the years since it makes it easier to get out!
Course Needs Improvemnts
Battlefield course is a nice course, but the cart paths are in horrible shape and need to be paved. Especially if it's cart path only through the entire course because of soggy grounds.. Additionally, finding where to tee off for hole 10 is not well marked. There is a sign but it points towards the employee only driving range cart path where it says no carts. Other than that it is a great course and I will be playing there again.
