Course is in great shape
Had a great day on the golf course. Weather was great and course was in really good shape.
Not a course for all
Staff were very unfriendly, their first question when I walked in was “what are you looking for?” maybe it’s a usual thing to ask when an Asian person walks in. A Caucasian gentleman walked in after me and he said “good morning, how can I help you?” The greens were covered with more sand than grass. Office didn’t have a place to wash up after game, they only have porta potties. They don’t smell too good when it’s hot... not a place for me.
Unsat greens
Greens had more sand than grass. There’s no bathroom, you have to go to a porta party that smells if you need to goi. Staff were unfriendly..there’s no place to wash your hands after being so sweaty from long course of hot weather.. will not recommend friends or anyone to play here especially if your asian.
Recently aerated
I have played this course many times and the condition of the course has typically been good but this time around wasn’t the case. The greens were recently aerated and were sandy, slow, unpredictable and even had the plugs from aeration laying on the greens. It will be awhile before I go back, I will wait for the greens to be in better shape.
Good layout - Great value for $$$
I liked the layout of this course - price was a huge value (under $25/pp for weekday morning). Couple of the greens were sandy from aeration but that’s a necessary evil. Hope the new clubhouse makes this an even better course when it’s done.
Nice course... disrespectful workers
Workers follow me with there nosey machines... causing distractions... I pay to enjoy a round of golf... not pay to be distracted ... hope this will be addressed soon
Great Value for the money
At $27 on Saturday morning with the cart Battlefield Golf Course is a great option. The course is challenging enough for the good player and allows the casual player to enjoy the round too. The fairways prvided good lies, tee boxes had plenty of grass, and the greens, although very firm and hard to hold, were nice with no bare spots and they putted true.
First time playing
Course was in decent condition.. Clubhouse working out of manufactured home and not much signage for first time players.
Course was in good condition
The course was in pretty good shape considering how dry it has been. Lots of roll and fast greens on a links style course. The pace of play was pretty good - about 4 hours for our group of four. No clubhouse but they have a driving range, practice green, and a chipping area. We will play there again.
Slow
We played 18 this morning as a 3 some. We were a pair, and the started added a single to our group (no big deal). The foursome in front of us was extremely slow with no one in front of them, and they, nor the ranger would allow us to play through. As for off course amenities, there are none. The “clubhouse” is a trailer with no bathrooms (only portapotties scattered through out the course). The course itself is challenging and fun to play, but the lack of restrooms and the ranger not letting us get through the group ahead of us. Many times we were leaving the green before the other group had teed off and we would have to wait. Took over 5 hours to finish the round.
Pleasantly Surprised
Played this course a few times since it opened and was never impressed. Played back 9 this morning and wow, this course was in really good condition. Tee boxes and greens all in great shape, a few fairways were a little rough but when you pay $18 for 9 with a cart you shouldn't expect a 5 star course. If you want to get out and play and don't want the slow play or expense that comes with the majority of the courses in the area then I suggest you give this course a try.
Nice course.... rugged cart path
Very challenging course... greens are fast.... I like the over all challenges
