About
The original Squaw Valley course, Apache Links, opened in 1992–a Jeff Brauer design that is open on the front and more densely wooded on the back. Brauer’s work involved bringing in dirt to provide some mounding to the flat terrain, and he placed the course along a scenic creek that comes into play, mostly on the back.
No. 9 is the best hole on the front because of its split fairway. Macho men can go for the green by aiming over the lake–otherwise it plays a pedestrian 362 yards if you choose the left side, where it doglegs around the lake.
On the back, Nos. 15 and 16 are back-to-back par 4s that you’ll be glad to get out of the way. The 15th rolls 462 yards and doglegs right, requiring a tee shot over the creek. The long approach is especially challenging due to the long row of trees at the corner of the green. Hole 16 features an elevated green above Squaw Creek. Play for position off the tee because the hole is not long.

Awesome
Had a great time. Greens are fast and in good shape. We finished the round in just under 3 hours. It was wide open. Will definitely be back.
Always enjoy the course
Played both courses in late October but not exactly sure of the date. Both courses were fun and challenging and my only complaints with either course were the greens and lack of drinking water. The greens were slow and a little bumpy. Uphill putts were especially slow and the bouncing of the ball made the problem worse.
It was around 90 degrees and humid the day we played and there was absolutely no drinking water on either course. There was a "cart girl" on the course but we saw her infrequently.
The course staff is very good as is the food.. Will play Squaw Valley again and hope the greens and drinking water situation is better.
Great Track!
Friendly, welcoming staff. Fun course! Loved all the moguls. Land your drive in the fairway or you will be hitting from the side of a hill! Good use of Squaw Creek too!
Great Course
*UI haven't payed Squaw Valley in 16 years. It's always in good condition and was today, for the most part. The greens rolled OK with a few bumpy rolls.and the spped was good - around 9-10.

Always a great place to play with 2 different golf courses! Courses are most always in excellent condition and the staff is great! Highly recommend playing as it is a great getaway from the DFW Metroplex!!
Two very nice courses
We played both golf courses over one weekend. They are very different. One being a links style layout and the other features more trees and water. Each course is challenging and we’re in very good shape. The staff was great and the prices were very reasonable. We are planning to make it a once a year Weekend get together.
19th Hole
Could not get a cold beer at the Rooster.Don’t understand why you can’t get a cold beer at the end of a round at the Rooster.When you take a beer out of the cooler you replace it with another so you keep having cold beer.How hard can that be?
Excellent
Both courses at Squaw Valley are in excellent shape. Course has been in great shape all summer. Play out there 2 times a week. Favorite course in Ft. Worth area.
