Squaw Valley Golf Course - Apache Links Course
About
The original Squaw Valley course, Apache Links, opened in 1992–a Jeff Brauer design that is open on the front and more densely wooded on the back. Brauer’s work involved bringing in dirt to provide some mounding to the flat terrain, and he placed the course along a scenic creek that comes into play, mostly on the back.
No. 9 is the best hole on the front because of its split fairway. Macho men can go for the green by aiming over the lake–otherwise it plays a pedestrian 362 yards if you choose the left side, where it doglegs around the lake.
On the back, Nos. 15 and 16 are back-to-back par 4s that you’ll be glad to get out of the way. The 15th rolls 462 yards and doglegs right, requiring a tee shot over the creek. The long approach is especially challenging due to the long row of trees at the corner of the green. Hole 16 features an elevated green above Squaw Creek. Play for position off the tee because the hole is not long.

Squaw Valley Photo submitted by SirPuraVida on 12/13/2016
This is my favorite public golf course within 50 miles of Granbury and my favorite course overall.
Course is great
Course was in terrific condition. Course did a great job ensuring social distancing measures are in place
Golfnow
Why are Golfnow customers treated differently, we pay the discount rate as shown but yet they treat like your not paying ?????? This happens at other places also ????
AWESOME!!
Always a great time at Squaw Valley.
Great layout in great conditions.
The BIRDGANG was in full swing Easter Sunday. The wind was killer though. Thanks Squaw Valley
Excellent, worth the drive!
The facility overall, especially the staff, accommodating our second tee time, given the packed conditions that day, they went way above and beyond. Thanks for a great experience! Look forward to returning soon!
Solid day on the links course
Fun course that is wide open. Makes for a pretty easy day out there. Still a very fun layout that requires you to be in the right spots if you want to go for certain pins. Course is in excellent condition, greens rolled pretty fast.
Surprisingly good
Fairly wide open & well kept, huge greens that rolled great, this course was worth the hour drive to play. Weekend rate a little steep at $53, but would definitely come back.
Simply the best
There’s a reason why theses two courses are ranked #1 & #4 in the state. Always in superb condition and picturesque. To top off being at the top of the heap, the town of Glen Rose has fantastic food and fun things to do. A real gem.
Perfect Day
Had a great time...course and greens were in fabulous shape! Staff was extremely friendly!
