Squaw Valley Golf Course - Apache Links Course
About
The original Squaw Valley course, Apache Links, opened in 1992–a Jeff Brauer design that is open on the front and more densely wooded on the back. Brauer’s work involved bringing in dirt to provide some mounding to the flat terrain, and he placed the course along a scenic creek that comes into play, mostly on the back.
No. 9 is the best hole on the front because of its split fairway. Macho men can go for the green by aiming over the lake–otherwise it plays a pedestrian 362 yards if you choose the left side, where it doglegs around the lake.
On the back, Nos. 15 and 16 are back-to-back par 4s that you’ll be glad to get out of the way. The 15th rolls 462 yards and doglegs right, requiring a tee shot over the creek. The long approach is especially challenging due to the long row of trees at the corner of the green. Hole 16 features an elevated green above Squaw Creek. Play for position off the tee because the hole is not long.

Sanded Greens
Discount because greens were sanded. Fun coarse anyway.
Great course, friendly people
Squaw Valley has always been worth the extra drive! Course/s are in great shape! Staff are always friendly and willing to do their best to make your round an enjoyable one.
Great course
We played the Apache Links course and it is a very nice course. Pretty challenging layout. Very hot the day we played but they did have free water bottles on the course at the starter house and at the beginning of the back nine. The back nine water station did not have any ice so that was a bummer.
Felt Like Home
I had not played the course in a few years. I am the President of the Grapevine Golf Association. We are going to play our Away Tournament at Squaw Valley on June 1 through 3. The course was in great condition and the greens were like lightening.
I met with Duff Cunningham and felt like I was welcomed back like a member of the family. Duff and his staff are always attentive and accommodating. They have always treated us well and we are happy to be going back.
Excellent as always
As always, this course is well worth the drive from DFW. It is amazing how well-kept this course is. If the course itself isn't enough to convince you, they also provide free iced water bottles on the 1st and 10th tees.
Great value for the money
I was greeted when I entered the pro shop by the staff and the course was in excellent shape the fairways were perfect and the greens were rolling true I would give this course a 5 star rating for value and course conditions
Staff
Best staff around. Definitely recommend this course.
Amazing
My wife and I love this course it’s out away from everything like being in nature and the course is always up to par. Can’t wait to play again
The golden Gem
This course is a Gem I played this course the day it opened in 92 I believe and loved it. Moved away and haven’t played in a long time and finally got my buddies to make the drive. The Staff was awesome the chipping green to the 2 putting greens were in great shape and the driving range too. Before you tee off they have bottles of water iced down for you on both courses and we played them both this day. Greens are slick if you like that then this is your play and the greens are as big as Texas. I can’t say enough about this place the scenery is breathtaking and peaceful can go wrong here. My Thanks to Duff and his Staff for making all of us feel welcome and thanked us for coming. Will be back soon. Monte C

Great Course
Really awesome course with rolling hills. Greens are challenging and well kept. I will definitely be playing here again. The staff was helpful and amazing well worth the money.
Squawk valley
Course in great condition, lots of work to maintain the greens.
Top Shelf - Every Time
This is one of the best 2 courses you can play in Texas. Always in great condition. After playing there are 2 great places to eat close by. Hammond’s BBQ and the Loco Coyote. A must play.
I love this course
I love to play this course because it has a little bit of everything to throw at you. The customer service at the desk could be a little more customer friendly but once you are out on the course, you forget about everything but golf!!!!
