About
Tangle Ridge Golf Club's location near Joe Pool Lake is favorable because of the elevation changes that spice up this well maintained public course. The course offers some outstanding holes, highlighted by impressive bentgrass greens that putt true. In addition to the elevation changes, Jeff Brauer's design features generous fairways lined by thick brush and huge trees. Two holes grab your attention on the front side. The opener goes 469 yards and might be the most difficult on the golf course. While there aren't too many hazards, bunkers protect the fairway and green, and the thick rough lining the fairway makes it a difficult long approach if you miss the smooth stuff off the tee. Tangle Ridge Golf Club's eighth hole is considered the signature: a 575-yarder that rolls downhill off the tee to a creek that cuts the fairway at 300 yards out. The approach on no. 8 must carry the creek to an elevated green protected by two massive mounds.

Tangle Ridge
What can I say about this course that I haven't already said. This place is worth the drive and the money. Beautiful layout and breathe taking views that make for an amazing round of golf. One of the best courses in Texas. The pace of play was slow only because they had a junior golf tournament going on. This place is always great but didn't see a cart girl the entire round and you're not allowed to bring your own cooler or food and drink. This makes it difficult to stay hydrated when you can only buy drinks at the start and the turn. Without a beverage cart probably looking at getting heat exhaustion or heat stroke.

Great course like always
I’m played the course but this was the best it every was, bunkers were soft and not hard, fairways were in great condition with no issues, and greens were amazing, this was worth every dollar.

Worth the drive
First time playing a course that has been recommended to me by many. A fun layout utilizing the terrain and challenging most skill levels. The greens weren't in the best shape due to prior maintenance but should be better soon. GPS on the carts was fairly accurate on most holes, the green book wasn't always accurate for pin position though. No coolers on the carts really stinks, make sure you get something from the snack bar before you head out.

Dynamic Pricing Neeeded
There should be a discount for playing a course that recently aerated their greens. The price you pay should reflect the quality of the conditions. Otherwise it is one of my favorite courses in the area.

Great course…aerating greens
I love this course but they had just aerated the greens so putting was a nightmare. But I will always play Tangle Ridge any chance I get and I live an house away!

Fun course / greens recently punched
Played this course several times and think it’s a great track. The greens were recently aerated, so I would wait until later this month or early June to play. Course combines scenic elevation changes with a fun layout that provides birdie opportunities. Tangle Ridge is one of the top 8-10 public courses in DFW.

Greens need some ❤️
The course had amazing views and the fairways were gorgeous. Once we arrived at the greens, they weren't as nice. Too bumpy and burnt out in some areas.

Tangle Ridge
A good course in the Cedar Hill/Mansfield area. Centrally located. Greens were fairly fast even it appears they were punched recently. Fairways are in good shape. Overall had a good round.
