About
Clear Creek Golf Course is a flat, wide-open links-style track loaded with water and bunkers. The only sort of elevation changes you'll experience come from the ravines that route through the course and the undulating greens.
The back nine is the more challenging, spiced up by some interesting par 3s and two outstanding par 5s. Clear Creek's 11th hole goes 555 yards and involves an approach over a ravine, and No. 13 is a 584-yard monster that double-doglegs to a skinny green framed by bunkers.

Hidden gem
Challenging course but heavily played. I thoroughly enjoyed playing this course

Course is in decent shape.
Fairways need to be fertilized.
No drinking water on the course and the cart girl didn’t have any ice for your cup.
No communication. Lake of professionalism.
Had a 4some Sunday morning. 2 of the players were unable to make the tee time due to COVID and I had let the guy working the counter know when I checked in an HOUR before my tee time. Worker said it was okay and proceeded to check me out. Woke up to an EXTRA charge. Called the course to find out it was a “no show” charge. NEVER did the guy tell me about the policy or mention he was going to have to charge me for the guys no showing. Would’ve been great to have COMMUNICATION and PROFESSIONALISM to tell your customer that before charging them without their knowledge. Don’t want my money back or mad about the policy, lack of professionalism is what is irking.
Worth it!
Played with my son and his Buddy and got a single paired in. All good everyone got along well. Course was in great condition and really hard fast greens, well done. I’ll be back next time I am in Houston.
Pace
Overall, course is good, but this is the 5th time playing here, and all 5x the pace of play is horrible..
Great day
The pace of play was a little slow but in actuality very tolerable. The farriers fairways were awesome and greens were awesome. Those things rolled! My only complaint is the driving area, there was not enough space as they blocked off half of the range. It made prepping difficult. But overall had a great time for the price and will definitely return.
Slow Pace of Play - Didn't finish!!
Very slow pace of play. We had a 3:28 pm tee time and got in 14 holes. It took 3 hours to play the front 9. We had to wait for a cart to become available. The course is in good shape though.
Nice course, but room for improvement
The Good: the course was nice and the greens were insanely FAST. Pace of play was reasonable. Green fees were also reasonable
The Bad: highly over priced on driving range balls; especially since there wasn’t much grass to hit off of (plenty of grass there but the designated area for today was pretty beat up already). Never saw the beverage cart, and on a hot day it would’ve been nice. If I come again, I’ll be breaking the rule and bringing my own cooler/drinks. Greens are TOO FAST. I would barely touch my ball with the putter and it would be on the other side of the green. Lastly, for first timers, it was hard to distinguish which fairway to aim for on a couple holes. Oh, and y’all might want to put up a sign directing people to hole 18.
Typically my biggest concern with Clear Creek is pace of play. It's not uncommon to have multiple groups stacked up on the first tee box. However, this round was excellent. We had some rain in the area so the ground was wet in spots but not too bad. Aside from that the course was in great shape and I always like the layout here. My only minor criticism is that previously they had (at least) two water coolers on each nine. Now that's down to one per nine which can leave you thirsty on a hot day. Definitely worth coming back though.

Pretty good course! Challenging…hidden water, creeks etc…very fun!
