Clear Creek Golf Course

The course at $29 was a steal. We were a twosome that teed off at 9a, sunny/hot morning. The fairways and greens were in excellent shape. Course is a links setup that is somewhat forgiving. Only one problem and that was pace of play. From the first tee it seemed sluggish and by the third hole it was evident that it would be a 5+ hour round. On the third tee we noticed a fivesome holding groups up on #8. The backup continued throughout the round. A Marshall was seen several times and observed on two occasions that he drove by the problem. I like the course but slow play in hot/humid weather is not what this golfer is looking for.

First time here and was very impressed. Will come back for sure soon.

Clear Creek was a joy to play, somewhat to very difficult to play, when you can not stay in the fairway.....lol! The group I was with had a great time, weather was good (extremely humid) and their all electronic scorecard and GPS rangefinder on the cart was/is an excellent amenity for your fees, THANKS Clear Creek.

Although the pace of play started out a little slow it was much better on the back. This course gets a lot of play, but stays in pretty good shape for a public course. Excellent value and very friendly staff.

Have played Clear Creek for many years and it generally is always in top shape. Their greens were absolutely perfect when we played. The weather in Houston has been horrible for a couple of months so the bunkers were not perfect but they were playable. Everything was lush and green...product of having lots and lots of rain followed by sunshine. We got drenched more than once on the day we played. I had played it a couple of days before with no issues at all.
The staff is very friendly, the driving range is big, food and beverage is very good.
I recommend this course if you are looking for something convenient to downtown Houston on the southside.

Although it was extremely hot, the staff was on the ball and the cart personnel came by often for drinks. We had a great time and an enjoyable round. I'll be back!

The fairways were in good shape but I can't say the same thing for the bunkers and greens. The bunkers looked to be washed out from all the recent rains. Most of them were eroded and full of rocks. The greens were riddled with brown patches that made putting difficult. There were good sections on each green however the pins were all located in the bad sections. I have played this course in the past when it was in much better shape. When it is in good shape it is well worth the long drive for $55.

Nice links course. Greens are very nice fast. Hit it past the hole and you will have a 6 footer coming back! Pace of play was slow. We had to wait til 10 min after our tee time to start. Our round took 5h 15min. With that said I would return to this course anytime. Fairways were great, if you're in the fairway you will almost always have a good lie.

The train had the fairways in great shape and the greens were fair and fast. Went in the afternoon and it was hot. The only problem i had was the pace of play and no Marshall to speed up the multiple ball hitters in front of us.

It was nice and has a good course condition. Staffs are kind.

Like many TX courses the wind is certainly a factor. What you get when you do finally arrive on the greens is a fair putting speed and greens that hold the ball. Super friendly staff, I lost my "Wimpy" from popeye headcover and they had it at the clubhouse. All around great experience.

The course was really great to play, it was challenging, but not to the point I had a bad experience. The only downfall to the course is all of the thick rough along the holes which if you mishit a shot into it, you will not find your ball and if you do, you won't do much with it. I lost quite a few balls, but still had an enjoyable experience and will likely play the course again.

Gps broke on our cart. We played a relatively slow front 9 then had to leave when we saw we were the fifth group on hole 11.

The course was in really good condition. The greens were deceptively fast but rolled true.

While it appears open, the grass on either side of the fairways is ready to eat the finish off one of your irons if you miss the fairway.

The front nine played faster than average but for some reason when we made the turn we ended up waiting behind two groups to tee off on 10, 11 and 12. After 12 it started to open up again.

Will definitely play it again.

So maybe Im spoiled but the course was pretty busy. Overall it was very nice experience, but I like the idea of golfing to get away and get some peace and quiet.. We were constantly on the heels of the group in front of us and had the group behind us on our heels. Kind of stressful in a game that's supposed to be played stress free..

Recent rains caused cart path only. Front nine greens were pretty lumpy. Back was in better condition. On the plus side; only one mile from Bass Pro Shop.

Course was in good shape. They had sanded the greens recently so putting was a challenge, but most putts rolled pretty true. Got a great deal on golf now so made it even better! Easy to get on in late morning..
