About
Located in South County Regional Park, Osprey Point Golf Club offers the first course in Florida to be designated as an Audubon International Classic Signature Golf Course. You would never be able to tell from looking at it now, but the site was farmland before it was used for shellrock mining and then abandoned. The landscape had been overgrown but the Parks and Rec Department of Palm Beach County transformed it into a lush and scenic course. The golf course is a 27-hole layout that can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. All of the tees, greens, and fairways feature environmentally friendly Seashore Paspalum. The Hawk/Falcom combination has a gently rolling landscape enhanced with native vegetation. The elevation changes are subtle but they still provide a few tricky lies.

This course was an excellent, too bad it rained with lightning and thunder !
Always enjoy playing Osprey point, the best county course ! Conditions were excellent, greens were fast furious, will return soon !

The course is great and challenging but the surrounding beauty is magnificent to behold

Disappointed
We started late - 30 minutes wait is far too long. Then, we had a 5 hour round - UNACCEPTABLE.
How do you expect to maintain any rhythm if you have to wait to hit almost every shot - off the tee and in the fairway.
On the positive side, it is by far, one of the finest and best maintained public courses that I have played at.
Thank you for the wonderful positive comments directed at Osprey Point. We appreciate you playing the course and giving us your honest feedback. As far as the late and slow day is concerned, it is agreed that this should not be acceptable for pace. Osprey Point strives on a daily basis to get all golfers out on a timely start and maintain a 4:15 or less pace. Unfortunately last Wednesday was a poorly executed day. There were a few booking errors that required special accommodations to be made and the staff was unable to recover the pace after the adjustment. This is not the standard for acceptable pace at Osprey Point, it was a few errors adding up throughout the day to create the perfect storm against pace. The staff goes to extraordinary lengths to keep the golf course moving at the best of their ability and we believe that this day should not be set as Osprey Point’s benchmark for pace. We hope next time you’ll be able to describe Osprey Point’s pace as “one of the finest” as well. Thank you for playing.
Shoulda Left the Brush Alone
Have played here several days a week since the course opened. Most reviews are well deserved - course is in great condition and is well maintained. But recent cutback of the brush has also cutback on much of the charm and challenge that distinguished Osprey from other public courses. Too bad.
Thank you for your continued patronage and comments on the course. Slight brush trimming and removal has been done in recent time to keep exotic plants at bay and keep the course playing at its originally intended setup. The golf course maintenance team has no intention of taking away from its charm but just to keep the conditions of the native areas from getting out of control and becoming a detriment to playability. There’s a lot of work being performed daily on the golf course that will hopefully improve the conditions and I hope you’ll see most of these as positive improvements for the long term success of the facility. Osprey Pt~ Boca Raton
Arrived at this great golf course only to find the pro shop attendants feeling resentful that they had to take our $25.00 tee time rate and didn't hold back communicating their arrogance in front of us-- " I guess Golf Now is back in business again"! Needless to say made us feel very unwelcome! Poor attitudes going on there--- better get used to guys--summer's coming!!
Otherwise a grand round was had by all and would certainly return- reminiscent of courses played in South Carolina lowcountry with natural plantings and preserved areas!

Great course
One of the best course in south Florida. If you're in the area it's a must play. The layout is excellent with plenty of water that comes into play. Each shot must be thought out carefully in order to avoid big numbers. Perfect greens. I would play this course 3 times a week.

Superb Conditions
I haven't played this course in a long time but I read the good reviews and wanted to get out there again. I was very impressed. The practice facility was excellent. The range grass was tight and well groomed. There is a very large putting green and a separate chipping green with a practice bunker. The tee boxes are pristine and the fairways are shaved tight. The greens were very firm and fast. These are private course-like conditions. For being a muni at around $60/round in peak season, you can't beat it.
The course is not the longest out there (6750 from the tips, 6400 from the gold), but there are definitely challenges. Hazards blanket both sides of the fairway on many holes. There are some layouts that I like more in the area (Atlantic National, Deer Creak, North Palm Beach), but I cannot stress enough what a pleasure it was to play on such pristine conditions. Almost all of the public course in the area have spongy greens with medium-slow speeds due to all of the rain, and in many places your drive will not roll out at all because of the wet turf. However, this course has held fast and firm on both greens and fairways.
My only minor complaint is that the practice green was recently sanded, so it was not an accurate reflection of the green speeds on the course. We played our round in about 4.5 hours, which is slow, but to be expected on a weekend in Florida peak season. I am looking forward to playing here again.

2nd best Muni in South Florida
Played 9 holes. Walked. Took our threesome (the other two rode) 1:45 to get around. The course is in excellent condition tee-to-green. The greens are fast and true. $23 to walk nine before 8am or after 12 Noon. Well worth the drive up from Pompano.
PS - the best Muni in South Florida is the Nicklaus course at North Palm Beach.

Really great Muni
Out of all the Munis of Palm Beach County this is one of the best. The course is kept in great condition and tends to drain well after any rain. Tee to green is not too difficult but the greens are fast and firm.

One of the Best Courses in South Florida
Eight Canadians make an annual trip to the Ft Lauderdale area every Super Bowl weekend for a week of fishing and Golf. Decided to add a few new courses to some of the standard ones we play. Emailed Eric at Palm Beach County to help us arrange two tee times for us. Eric graciously arranged our tee times to our satisfaction. The weather was cold and windy, however the course was in fantastic shape and is such a great layout. This is by far the best public course for value we have played in over four years coming. Can't say enough about the course and the staff at PBC. Hope to play again next year.

I can't even speak with someone to make a tee time!
I am traveling to Delray Beach in 2 weeks and am trying to set up tee times for the week. I read the reviews of this course on this site and it sounds like a good place to play. I tried doing it online but it does not seem to be working as nothing showed up for 3 different dates I entered. I have been trying to contact the pro shop for 3 days now to book a tee time and not been able to speak with ANYONE. The first day the phone system would not put me through. It kept going back to the automated system. For the past two days I was able to get through to the pro shop only to immediately be put on hold before I even had a chance to say hello! I have been on hold at least 15 minutes each time and every few minutes someone comes on and asks me to hold again before I can even get a word out!

Great layout with multiple tee boxes and excellent value. Unfortunately played in terribly cold weather but still enjoyed the experience.

Greatest Course in SouthEast Florida
A must play. Although the course was wet because of a lot of rain lately, the course was in perfect shape and the greens in excellent condition. Great course to play for all level golfing.

slow play
Many holes Had no cart signs - the first 9 holes (raven) took 3 hours to play- only could play 16 holes -course was very very wet..Don't know if this is the norm. other than slow play the course is the best I played in Florida
Thank you for your review of Osprey Point. We have definitely experienced a wet winter thus far, far wetter than is the norm for South Florida at this time of the year. The resulting amount of rain, has forced us to institute cart path only on certain days, which adversely affects our speed of play. We strive for a 4 hours, 15 minutes pace of play and believe you will find it to be more along these lines when the course is dryer.

Great track...
first time....i'll be back....course was pretty wet....no rolling fairways etc., but could see greens would be awesome if dry.

Play Osprey Pointe
Have played this course from the time it opened back in 2010. excellent facility with all you need to enjoy
a round of golf. Greens are fast not your typical Florida greens. Wide fairways not much water or sand.
Located away from all the hustle and bustle. Conditions always great. Play this course. You'll love it!

Great condition & Beautiful scenery
Course had several blind shots and was a little tight for my game but the scenery more than made up for it. Greens were in excellent condition, very true, perfect speed.

A Must Play Course in S. Florida
Needless to say, this is the must play course in the S. Florida areas. Everything is superb including the challenges of the course. Your tee shots are most important; otherwise, make sure to bring extra balls.
