Holly Ridge Golf Course

Course is not worth the money they are charging to play it. Greens were in really rough shape. Easy course.

Friendly staff, scenic course, and an overall great experience. Would definitely recommend for someone looking for a relaxing golf experience while visitingyhe OBX.

On an extremely hot day, no coolers were filled on the entire 18 holes. When I brought it to their attention after we played the 18 holes, they blamed it on a skeleton crew and didn’t even say they would resolve that issue. It was acceptable to them. Also, their golf club paths are not paved throughout the entire course, so you have to drive in the grass a lot. For the price we paid, we had no relief of water, no paved paths, and poor customer service. I would not recommend them.

Staff was great, from the starters to the cart person making sure we were hydrated. The bad was we waited nearly an hour for a cart and that pushed our tee time back an hour. The course was dry and hard. You couldn’t differentiate between tee boxes and fairways. Maybe that’s how it is in NC.

Not worth the 70$, maybe 30. boring layout, very poor condition of greens, fairways… we saw group of 8 and a group of 6 playing together, all bad players, so the speed of play was ridiculous. No tracker who drives around… it is only for very high handicappers who want to drink and hack around a bit

Arrived 20 minutes early to a complete logical mess. Wet weather early caused a total mismanagement of the pretty full schedule in the morning. People waiting well over an hour with no movement. No carts or staff to help the pro. By 11 perfect weather and still sending everyone off the back. I stood there for 90 minutes saw 4 people on 1. Also, allowed several groups of 6 plus to tee off together....

All that said, the course was in decent shape, greens were pretty true.

After reading previous reviews of this course I was hesitant to book it. I am happy that I did. The course is short and narrow but in good shape. I will play it again.

Not enough golf carts had to wait 35 minutes for a cart.

Nice course for the price and to be able to play while in OBX. Was a forgiving for myself being a beginner. The layout was a bit odd but overall a great day on the course. Will definitely go back next vacation.

Fairways are pretty sandy throughout, and very patchy. Greens were SUPER rough. Beverage Cart never made it out.

Good course if you need to just knock off the rust or work on your game. Course itself is not in good shape. Greens had just aerated and sanded. Fairways Avery thin and overrun with anthills. On plus side, we were basically on course by ourselves , so no one pushing us, even though we still played in 3 1/2 hours. Enjoyable day.!
