Holly Ridge Golf Course

This is a friendly environment where the game is approachable for a variety of skill levels. The course has a number of shorter Par 3s but then mixes in some nicely challenging tighter long holes with water hazards that pose a challenge. The driving range has yardage markers scattered throughout to help golfers dial in their distances prior to a round. This course is not trying to be a fancy, expensive experience. The one wish would be for larger greens as many are very small and firm requiring pinpoint precision. A great family course!

Wanted to play so golf on vacation. Found this course on golfnow site, with a hot deal offering. Course was challenging with a lot of water around greens. All and all great day playing golf. No wait was even able to start early. Only 30 minutes from were we stayed in Nags Head, NC.

My husband and I played at Holly Ridge for the first time. The staff were very friendly. The course grounds looked well kept. We thoroughly enjoyed playing our 9 holes and hitting the driving range afterwards. We will be back for sure.

Good course with reasonable fees. Course is short by most standards. Plays completely different from white and blue tees. Course was in good shape. Tee boxes, fairways snd greens.

Yes. Yes it does. I can take a poorly laid out course. I can even understand not going beyond basic needs. However, for the price, I would expect a little more than a snack shop and a beach volleyball course. Hoping this is just an end of the summer situation.

This course has some interesting challenges to keep your game on par.

The course is in decent shape and getting better each time I play it. They could do a better job of pairing up solo and twosomes and not allowing groups of 5 or more to play.

Course is not worth the money they are charging to play it. Greens were in really rough shape. Easy course.

Friendly staff, scenic course, and an overall great experience. Would definitely recommend for someone looking for a relaxing golf experience while visitingyhe OBX.

On an extremely hot day, no coolers were filled on the entire 18 holes. When I brought it to their attention after we played the 18 holes, they blamed it on a skeleton crew and didn’t even say they would resolve that issue. It was acceptable to them. Also, their golf club paths are not paved throughout the entire course, so you have to drive in the grass a lot. For the price we paid, we had no relief of water, no paved paths, and poor customer service. I would not recommend them.

Staff was great, from the starters to the cart person making sure we were hydrated. The bad was we waited nearly an hour for a cart and that pushed our tee time back an hour. The course was dry and hard. You couldn’t differentiate between tee boxes and fairways. Maybe that’s how it is in NC.

Not worth the 70$, maybe 30. boring layout, very poor condition of greens, fairways… we saw group of 8 and a group of 6 playing together, all bad players, so the speed of play was ridiculous. No tracker who drives around… it is only for very high handicappers who want to drink and hack around a bit
