Holly Ridge Golf Course

This course is a great alternative to the $150 a round courses on the beach. Greens are not great but the layout is good and the staff is great!

Conveniently located and well maintained. There are some short par 4’s and 5’s interestingly enough. Fair number of par 3’s. Had an inexperienced golfer with me and they were able to enjoy the course and play well.

As I told the owner and manager the course gets better each year.

I'm a local asked for the local discount. Was told I'd get it but the rude lady at the counter charged me full price the course isn't worth playing for 59 dollars it's basically a hay field. If you work with the public you should be a little nicer.

$38 for 9. Easy enough course to navigate. No beverage cart and very limited options in clubhouse. Great for a quick round!

Paid $32 to walk 9, this place isn’t even close to being worth that price lol. Also had to walk cause they didn’t have any carts at 9:30 am

The service was sub par from the beginning. They would not let me play a twosome and threesome back to back as I scheduled. They finally did after I told them we only took one car. They did not have a ranger. If they did, they would have known the twosome ahead of us was hitting 4+ balls off of every tee with no care with the people behind them.

For the price, this wasn't worth it. Greens were slow, long and unkempt. The course is a bit uninspiring with portions representing a par three course carved put of a flat field. Definitely a disappointment.

Course was in good shape. Only downside to the course were the firm and abnormally small greens.

I will pay better attention to reviews before booking another course like this!

Personnel were great, extremely friendly. Carts are new and very nice. Range was very good. However, the course itself leaves much to be desired. The greens are small, uncut,,bumpy and Sandy. Worst greens I have ever played. Course is very short, yardages on scorecards not even close on most holes. Rough and fairways were cut the same length. Hole #9 & #18 end fat from the clubhouse and no drinks available on the course. Pace of play very slow Huge power poles and lines run all across the course. For $60 I expected much better. Will not play here again. Pay the big bucks if you want to play the OBX.

If you enjoy playing a course where the greens have giant divots and craters of sand in them, this is your calling. Wouldn’t recommend this course to anyone, especially not for $60. The best part of my round was leaving the parking lot.
