About
Pearland Golf Club opened in 1982 after Jay Riviere was brought in to build the course as the centerpiece of a residential development for senior citizens. Mike Hoelzer rolled through in the late 1990s for a redesign on this fairly basic 18-hole golf course. The short design features generous fairways and prominent bunkering around the undulating greens. Lakes and ponds have been added over the years and impact play on most holes. Trees have also been added over the years to spice up the flat, prairie-like course.
No. 9 is one of the toughest holes, a 440-yard par 4 that doglegs and has water. No. 16 is considered Pearland's signature -- a 554-yard par 5 that also doglegs and has water in play.

The best greens for the price.
Played on a wet Sunday morning, still some standing water around parts of the course from all the rain Saturday, but the greens were in incredible condition. Fast, firm couldn't even tell it had just rained. I will be back, short course but it has some interesting holes and makes you shape a few shots if you want to score.

Beautiful golf day..
Great weather and friendly people. Unfortunately, rain from two days earlier forced carts-on-path condition and the round took a full five hours.

Not sure you reviewed the right golf course. I do not see your name on our tee sheet.
Our golf course is getting rave reviews for its condition. Our greens are spectacular as always. Fairways are lush and the layout is challenging. Value is your opinion. Our pace of play yesterday was around 4 hours which is excellent for a busy golf course.

Played here as the head pro for a year
A great course. This course is at least 3 - 6 strokes tougher than you think. Lots of placement shots. All greens are raised to some extent, so be careful to hit the green on your approach shots. If anything could be fixed, the drainage is seriously lacking. Course does not drain and absorb water as well as it should. All in all, a great place and fun to play.

Great place to play!
Course has been redone and is in great shape! Good value and best greens in Pearland for a public course. Course can be wet after rain, but with the huge amounts of rain in we are getting it is unfair to penalize the course for wetness...I have joined as a member and look forward to this being my new home course. I just wish that more folks would take the time to rake traps, repair divots, and fix ball marks...a real problem!

Top notch course condition
The course is great, the leagues are welcoming and fun. The course is almost always in excellent condition, given the wet weather here. The course management is always above and beyond.

Poor drainage
Standing water again on course everytime it rains the course floods.

Sorry your experience was not what you had hoped. You played on a Sunday morning and we had 2" of rain Saturday night. Many courses are the drainage for the surrounding neighborhoods and we are no exception to this. To say we flood every time it rains is a little harsh and overstated. We are relatively flat, but usually drain within 24-48 hours. I hope you'll give us another chance when the weather is great. The course is in terrific condition and the greens are the best in the area. Thanks. R. Rogers, GM
