About
Pearland Golf Club opened in 1982 after Jay Riviere was brought in to build the course as the centerpiece of a residential development for senior citizens. Mike Hoelzer rolled through in the late 1990s for a redesign on this fairly basic 18-hole golf course. The short design features generous fairways and prominent bunkering around the undulating greens. Lakes and ponds have been added over the years and impact play on most holes. Trees have also been added over the years to spice up the flat, prairie-like course.
No. 9 is one of the toughest holes, a 440-yard par 4 that doglegs and has water. No. 16 is considered Pearland's signature -- a 554-yard par 5 that also doglegs and has water in play.

Great course
First time here staff were friendly and very helpful. Driving range a lil small but was nice. Pace of play was good I started alone then was able to play with a twosome that was ahead of me. All in all was a great first time at the course will definitely be going back.

Hot and muggy day
The day was very hot and extremely muggy. I got there late and didn't have time to hit range balls and so i struggled all day.

Course was great
I booked a hot deal tee time and was paired up with a nice guy. We played the front 9 together. There’s a lot of dog legs, so I would recommend hitting a 3-wood off the tee boxes to give yourself a good look at the pins. The bunkers were in great shape as well as the greens. The greens rolled very good! I would recommend this course to a friend(s) and will be bringing the family out there for a round soon!

Played in one of my golf leagues
Played here in one of my golf leagues. The greens were a touch slow but smooth. Almost all of the greens are near perfect. Had lot of rain day before so bunkers were not groomed. We took them out of play for the league. Overall course conditions were good considering how wet the course was from rainfall day and night before. Every hole either has water or OB.

Good layout. Course condition fair.
Challenging layout. Tight fairways. Lots of water. Greens good. Fairly fast but too hard. Most approach shots didn’t hold and ran off the back. Fairways too hard and spotty with some weed grass.Very solid par 3’s and the 3 finishing holes , a tricky par 5, and 2 long par 4’s are a tough finish. A little slow on a sat. Afternoon, 4.5 hours. Aerating the fairways, and softening the greens would make this a top notch course. Tip for players with the hard greens; hit your approach shot around front of green yardage and you let it roll out. Good value and enjoyed the round.

This is one of the longest day on the course I have ever had on a weekday. There were no marshals patrolling the course and we actually had 4 groups on the same hole numerous times during the round. Thank goodness it was a beautiful day and we just resigned ourselves to waiting on every shot and enjoyed the day! The course was in great shape as they just had a big USO tournament.

Great track, with tight fairways and excellent greens. Short but challenging course. Always a fun round. The only downside is the golf cart, which restricts where you drive. Otherwise it’s a great little neighborhood course, and I’ll definitely play it again.
I forgot to mention about the golf carts in my review. That was irritating. If you even drove within 5-10 feet of a water hazard, it would shut the cart down and make you go in reverse. I think they need to calibrate these a bit.

Pearland Golf Course
This course is actually my favorite course in South Houston, I tend to play here the most. GPS carts, with well maintained Greens, is the main reason. I usually play alone, and have always met good people on this course.
