About
Pearland Golf Club opened in 1982 after Jay Riviere was brought in to build the course as the centerpiece of a residential development for senior citizens. Mike Hoelzer rolled through in the late 1990s for a redesign on this fairly basic 18-hole golf course. The short design features generous fairways and prominent bunkering around the undulating greens. Lakes and ponds have been added over the years and impact play on most holes. Trees have also been added over the years to spice up the flat, prairie-like course.
No. 9 is one of the toughest holes, a 440-yard par 4 that doglegs and has water. No. 16 is considered Pearland's signature -- a 554-yard par 5 that also doglegs and has water in play.

Best I’ve played in Houston
I travel from YK to work in Houston 3-4 times a year can’t believe I only just played Pearland first time playing here and couldn’t be more impressed!
It had rained all day and continued through round but the course held up perfectly.
Interesting layout as it winds through the homes and some scary shots that you don’t want to slide out left towards the road that runs beside a few holes .
True greens and just difficult enough to make it a challenge.
Staff really friendly will be back that’s for sure

Wronged again!
I booked a round on a Sunday at 12:40 on a beautiful day. I get there and there’s a huge tournament about to start at 12:30. I asked the lady in the pro shop about it and she said yes it’s about to have a shot gun start and we will try to fit you in but it will be hard for you to play your round. This is the third time this has happened to me at this place! I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt for the last time. The lady didn’t offer me a free round later or nothing. And there were no other available t times in the area on a short notice in the area. Totally ruined my golf day. This is a trend at this course. DO not book this place. Especially if your out of town flying into the air port for a round of golf. You may not get to play or be stuck behind 3 to 4 groups of resident who they will not honor your t time for. This course has absolutely no business being on the Golf Now App! Beware of this sham t time joke.
Hello Mr. Boynton
I apologize that your recent experience was not what you were expecting. However, there are some details that I believe, to be fair, need to be pointed out.
First, you booked a “Hot Deal” through GolfNow. As such, Pearland Golf Club is not involved in the transaction. The dollars go directly to GolfNow and Pearland Golf Club doesn’t have any contact with you during the booking process. As such, we did not have an opportunity to inform you of the Shotgun event that went out prior to your tee time.
Second, it appears that you were upset about being behind a tournament. Please remember that April 11th was Masters Sunday which is always a very busy day for all public golf courses. Even though the course was effectively “sold out”, you were able to book your tee time at the lowest possible rate through the Hot Deal at Golf Now. The tournament that was in front of you tee time played in 4.5 hours on a sold out Masters Sunday. That is pretty good given the circumstances. You would have been behind a sold out tee sheet for the morning with or without a tournament. That means you would have finished your round by 5PM which is 2 hours and 45 minute before sunset. Obviously, this is plenty of time to complete your round.
Third, the threesome you were paired with had no issues and finished their round in 4.5 hours. Given the above circumstances, I am not sure why you think you were entitled to a free round or golf since Pearland Golf Club received zero dollars for your round of golf and you could have played in a reasonable amount of time on Masters Sunday which does not indicate any compensation should be due under the circumstances.
The balance of your complaint needs clarification as well. You indicate this is the third time this has happened to you. Pearland Golf Club honors all reservations made even when there is a booking error originating from Golf Now’s side. There have been “double bookings” that rarely occur due to a glitch in Golf Now’s booking software. In those cases, we have been able to accommodate the customer 100% of the time. I does not appear that any of your past reservations were not honored and all of your reservations were made through Golf Now.
Your customer history for rounds booked under your profile indicate 3 rounds played in 2017, two times you played as a single and the 3rd time you booked your tee time the middle of a member event. Since nobody that is currently on staff then is here now, I can’t speak to what happened there. It does appear you played that day, and it was a very light day indicating you probably played in 4 hours or less. The only other round you played under your name was in January of 2018, and it appears there were no issues with that round. Interesting that in 2017 you gave Pearland Golf Club 5 Stars and a great review. Your “Wronged Again” headline is misleading given your history.
Not sure what to do with your comment about flying in from out of town to play since your address indicates you live in Houston. Maybe you’ve moved out of town.
Pearland Golf Club receives many reviews, mostly 4 & 5 star, and any negative reviews are submitted for analysis. We can always improve on our customer service. In your case, it does not appear that any process or procedure could have been put in place to rectify the circumstances that led to your negative review since your main complaint is that you were going to play behind a tournament. You were correct, however, it was a beautiful day to be on the golf course and all of those 242 golfers that played seemed to have a great time.

Definitely worth it
Nice layout tight fairways good pace of play greens played slow but they were wet bunkers could use some love but definitely worth playing

Still a nice place to play
Good conditions for February though some green work was in progress. Afternoon tee times not crowded but a lot of non foursomes that seemed flustered by the foursomes. Snack bar on 10 closed at 3 pm. Very small $6 practice ball bucket. Back to 2 to a cart.
