Abridge Golf & Country Club

Managed to get a game on the first day back to playing, starter Marshall, Mick, was super helpful, a credit to the club. Course was not at its best but to be expected, but club was doing everything possible to welcome everyone back. Am seriously considering applying for membership so can't say better than that.

Unplayable in the winter so don’t waist your money! Hit middle off the fairways and lose your ball becase the coarse dong hold the water at all! Wait till summer! Play Hobbs cross round the corner

First time playing this course, and as a 20-handicapper it presented a fair few challenges. Some tricky tee boxes but wide fairways for the most part. Starting to get a little wet/slippy underfoot with the recent rain. Soft greens but still good pace on the putts. Easy course to navigate around and in as good condition as possible given the recent poor weather. Very good drainage system has kept the course playable so far. Definitely will be returning in the near future, thanks to all at the club for such a good experience!

Played here several times now . Course is in fantastic condition and greens are excellent. However today was to busy. Don’t know what was going on but 6 hours to do 18 holes is ridiculous. Pace of play was silly every hole 2x 4 balls and 1x 2 ball waiting. Needs to be sorted out quickly.

Greens were recently worked on and therefore harder to play after aeration and top dressing. Without this maintenance they would never retain the quality I expect them to offer after playing my round. Well designed course!

I'm part of a weekly fourball as such we enjoy playing different courses.

Through this website we got a good deal for a round at Abridge.

I checked the course own website and read that the greens had been hollow cored and heavily sanded.

When we arrived on course we checked in with the head pro who was very welcoming and he told us the course was quiet.

Having played on several extremely busy courses recently it was a delight to feel we almost have the course to ourselves. The course was in very good condition. Tees & Fairways perfect and the greens were a little trickier however after the work on them. But we still enjoyed ourselves - found it a tough fairly long course on the legs with lots of uphill holes but we enjoyed a welcome light refreshment on the clubhouse patio behind the 18th green!

Well worth a visit!

Good course but undergoing some works with many bunkers out of action. A lovely bar but needs to be open longer. We finished our round at around 7:30 pm and it was closed so all 10 of us went and spent our money at the local pub instead. Shame really as we’d prefer to have spent it there

Played abridge before and couldn’t fault the course. Fairways excellent as are greens. Tee off late afternoon first nine no hold ups at all. 2nd nine caught up with 3 sets of four balls that were so slow and not let us play through. Apart for slow play the course is in excellent condition and would definitely play here again.

Great course in amazing condition, not long but a great challenge for a mid-high handicapper like me.

Amazing condition considering the dry summer we've had, greens hold a longer approach shot and are pretty much perfect on putts, fairways are like a lush thick carpet and tee boxes are better than some lesser course's greens!

Challenging layout but forgiving on wayward shots.

First time playing this golf course. Booked a tee time for 0948 only to find out playing partner had thought we were playing another course 35 miles away. Once the confusion was sorted he headed over. This is were golf clubs can come into their own (I needed another tee time about 90 mins later on what was a fully booked day). With the massive help of the Course Marshall (who went out of his way to help me) we were on the course at 11am - and what a course. Fairways like carpet on the front 9, 10 and 18. the others need a little work but this does not detract from what was a fantastic days golf (in windy conditions!). Clubhouse is new as well and well laid out. A great first outing and will be back.
