Decent course, slowish play was a bit frustrating at we were trying to finish before it got too dark.

Special mention to Laura in the Pro shop, a pleasant surprise to find someone cheery and helpful in a pro shop rather than the sullen arrogance normally encountered in pro shops. Thank you.

The course is well designed.

Interesting golf holes and good for the older player as reasonably flat. Generous fairways and the greens were in superb condition. Would definitely recommend and my group of 4 players(all in our 50's and lowest handicap 24) plan to play again soon.

Course in fantastic condition the day we played, particularly the greens. Friendly welcome from the Pro Shop. Very nice food. The waiting-on staff were very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely return.

A nice course but would rather play the course in reverse. The back nine is far easier than the front.

Also no fault to the club but Golf Now can add random players to play with you if you're not a four ball.

We played here last week for the first time any enjoyed it so much we came back.

It’s set in a beautiful part of the world with far reaching views in all directions.

A challenging course due to the slight windy conditions and undulating course . You have to plot your way round rather than blast your way round as there are lots of trees and slopes to catch you out. A few par 4s Play into the wind and are super hard to par.The greens are fantastic to putt on and are in great condition, probably the best we have played on all year. Staff were friendly and pace of play was good..definitely worth a round and the value for money cannot be beaten.

In these days of Covid-19 we received a warm welcome. Playing with son we got off to a good start. The opening five-six holes are interesting to play. Our enjoyment was lessen by a four ball who were playing fairly slowly, but you have those kind of days. The greens were good. In the final section of the course we did get peppered with golf balls on a couple of holes with some wayward driving. The round last just over fours hours so we did not have time for refreshments. Yes we would recommend the course.

Given that the heavens had poured forth heavy rain all morning, I was lucky only to have but one 10-minute enforced stop for a heavy shower in the afternoon. Despite the morning's rian, the course was not unduly wet and it has recovered well from last year's drought.

Other reviews give an excellent summary of the joys of this course and it is truly a gem waiting to be discovered by those willing to travel just a few miles inland from the coast.

Played this course at the end of November and it was in fantastic condition. So much so that we played off the summer tees and not the winter ones.

Very good value and as a two ball we went round in just over three hours.

The greens were in excellent condition and we could see that they were working to improve the course in other areas.

Down in Bournemouth for a break looking for a course to play. Found ashley wood good value. First holes hilly but after that very nice . im off 8 played to 4 so happy .

Ashley Wood is always accommodating to the average golfer looking to be challenged but still have a good day, tough start to your walk, with a mid section to get your score going before a tricky end, all round good day.

A very good fair test of golf. After a very hilly start the course levels out to a very nice middle section and it has very testing par 3 holes. Overall a very enjoyable experience

This course is usually a very good course to play. I rang and confirmed that the annual course maintenance would not be underway. I was told it would start the next day. Unfortunately that was not the case, it had started. It disrupted our game a bit. Disappointing.

Fabulous course. In great condition. Greens in wonderful condition. Young man in Pro Shop extremely helpful & friendly. Bar staff very welcoming. Not my first visit but my playing partner was a first time visitor. We will definitely return.

Played Ashley Wood in August for just £16 in a two ball. The course if beautiful, the pace of play was great and the bar was very friendly afterwards. The views on this course are just spectacular and I thoroughly recommend the course for any standard of golfer.
