Course great clubhouse terrible

Played here about 10 times in the last couple of years. If it is purely golf you want then that's great, mature course well kept greens especially nice, tee boxes out of use currently but that's fine as its November.

The clubhouse is particularly terrible. Not once have I had a positive experience, ranging from

- can't even get in as the doors are locked

- lights all off at 4pm staff waiting to go home

- staff eating lunch behind the bar on several occasions

- £1 charge to use your debit card

- not welcoming or helpful staff in any way

It won't stop me playing the course as its beautiful but I prefer an all round experience.

First Time Playing

Atherstone Golf Course

Not very long but a number of holes playing blind of the tee. Fairways could do with improving, however, greens were excellent. Only played nine holes but shall return to play full course. Members and staff very friendly.

Sunday pm

Unique course very hilly. Plays like a links on some holes with many blind shots and mounds. Makes a nice change from up and down parkland courses. Greens were excellent. Great views and great value for money. A buggy would probably be recommended for the less fit amongst us

In a word; Great!

I really enjoyed my round. The course is very challenging with hills, dips but with receptive greens. The views are spectacular and the Members are very helpful and welcoming.
