Great design and friendly staff
Played just after the heat wave and two sunny weeks. The condition of the course was not great. The greens were a bit slow and easy to control, but still interesting due to the excellent design. The fairways were yellow and hard. The manager at the buggies service station is very friendly and helpful. He leaded us to grab some food and snacks just before the tee off time. Very good experience. Will come back to play again when the fairways are greener.
Windy challenge on a very pretty course
Nicely constructed, well maintained and interesting course where wind is the greatest challenge - particularly on the homeward 9.
Better than Brab
Played on a Saturday after a week with lots of rain. Of course there were areas with some standing water and many of the bunkers were basically unplayable but for £44 I cannot complain. The fairways were great and the greens immaculate. Have played the brab and in my opinion it is overpriced as is very samey. The National on the other hand is a varied, challenging course but if you hit fairways good scoring is possible, and this from a high handicapper. The starter was friendly and helpful.
Birthday round
Second time playing the PGA National for my birthday now luckily for this time of year the weather held off for us.
Course is in really good condition for December and for me personally the best course at The Belfry.
PGA belfry
Lovely course weather spoilt it a little and could do with marshaling on course to move it along and get people to repair pitch marks on green
Better than The Brabazon
This course is fantastic. It’s very difficult thanks to the many crater like bunkers which seem to be everywhere. The condition is great throughout. I played the Brabazon recently and I have to say I prefer the PGA. Even though the Brabazon is excellent too. Don’t expect to score low on either course.
PGA national
Thoroughly enjoyed the course. It was so well maintained. Staff were so friendly and interested in you as a person.
Will definitely return.
First timer
First time at the belfry and played the PGA Course.
The course was in a really good condition for this time of year, well manicured by the greens staff. (Kinda to be expected as it the Belfry). Facilities were great as we dined in Sam’s bar afterwards.
Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the visit.
An enjoyable day.
Played PGA great value for £40, little damp in places but green in great shape for the time of year.
Rained night before
I’ve only given the course conditions a 3 because it was wet but every other course would have been closed but it held up very well greens was still pure and fast so great work from staff over all great experience and will be coming back in summer!
Excellent course
The course was excellent, some puddles in fairways but to say we played the morning after a storm trolleys where permitted and the greens where excellent. Would definitely recommend but take your own beers. 2 sausage rolls and 2 beers at the turn £23!!!!!
Excellent value for money
Got a great deal at The Belfry would highly recommend
40th birthday round
First time playing the PGA national course and even with the weather we’ve had this time of year the course played really well yes it was a little wet but still really good condition.
Will 100% be playing this course again in the summer time
PGA
Excellent location
Excellent amenities
Great knowledgeable staff
Great lynx course
Jeezo
Played the PGA national today it’s like playing in a cow field. The greens were the only up side. I understand that there’s been loads of rain but the fairways were shocking. The hotel, range, workers and the people in the place are fantastic but that course need attention.
Unreal condition for January
Course was in great condition for this time of year, greens were pure and fast, Greenkeeping staff doing a great job, bunkers were well kept, tee boxes in great condition
Given the time of year and the weather we’ve had recently don’t have a thing to complain about, would definitely recommend & will be heading back soon to try the Brabazon
10/10
One of the major venues ticked off
Got a great offer and could not resist! Played in morning starting before frost had cleared. Course very challenging and only finished with 3 balls left. Loved the experience
