Great course
good but greens was a little damaged .overall great value
Very poor condition
I am not one to complain but the course was in terrible condition very wet and muddy. The ball was plugged after every tee shot. The fairways were the same length as the rough. The greens were poor, the ball just bouncing along.
Very disappointing, don’t waste your money. The council courses are much better condition.
Nice course ,very boggy in places, some good holes. Not worth £40 considering how wet the course was, would be much better once the warmer weather arrives
Play was really slow
The course although a little sodden in some place was in reasonable good condition greens had been airated so was bouncing always but love the out to in layout hole were really good sadly didn’t get to complete course 2 groups of 3 members were really slow and took me nearly 2 hours to do 6 holes….so decided to come back home which was much more enjoyable. Staff were great showed me were everything was and pointed out the dangers on the course.. Just the slow pace really spoilt it for me even if it was a gorgeous days.
Good course
Good all round golf club nice course week looked after and a great bar for a pint afterwards defgo recommend one off the best in warrington area
Good course
Good all-round course for what you need as a reasnoble handicap player
2 awkward holes but all courses have them
Great course
Great course nice views good all round for money good value
A good course.
A really nice course. A good layout, greens were okay but needs a little TLC and the fairways could do with a little tighter cut as some of the fairways were a little long. Big don’t let put you off. It was a nice day there was a competition on that day, so play was steady but not slow. Some challenging holes and some quite easy but enough variety to suit everyone. A really nice course. I enjoyed it.
Fantastic Course
The greens were receptive and the fairways in great condition…..There are a few water hazards that cost me a couple of balls but didn’t deter from an enjoyable round…
Good value & challenge
Enjoyed playing at Birchwood. The clubhouse was nice and the course has a good practice area to use before the round.
The course was in good condition overall and was a challenge to the usual, as not many holes that required driver off the tee. Very much a course to practice sensible golf with many water hazards and becks to be found. Good value for money for the green fee and we are likely to return again.
Recommended!
Course was in excellent condition despite the recent bad weather. Good layout with a few tricky holes.
Excellent courss
Excellent course great set up. Warm and friendly atmosphere in the pro shop.
Great weather = great conditions
Most courses are going to be in good nick with the weather we’re having and Birchwood was no different. Greens firm but fairly receptive. Lot of run on the fairway. There are a few patches of reseeding going on and a couple of areas are GUR. Some bunkers not raked properly but that’s not the club’s fault. Good array of holes and some definite scoring chances. It’s a great round for a decent amount of money. Cost of golf is going up and there are few places left for a weekend tee time of £30. Wouldn’t pay more, but just about justifies the cost.
Great Course
Me and my two brother in laws played this on Monday, fairways are fine considering they are seeding them ready for the new season, but if it plays like this now I cannot wait to play in 6-8 weeks, the greens are amazing and each putt runs true.
Chap in pro shop is helpful and the two old chaps I spoke to prior to tee time were friendly and offered advice.
Excellent and challenging course, won’t be my last visit
