Lovely course
I love this course, always in great condition, there were 2 temp greens on, this was due to drainage work being carried out. But still very enjoyable.
Recommender
Great course, super challenging, lots of hazards. Great pro shop with friendly staff. The only criticism I could give is the food selection in the clubhouse was quite poor
Enjoyable Round
Played Haydock for the first time, really enjoyed it, course is immaculate and greens really well looked after. Will be playing again soon
Nice course we'll kept
As a first time visitor I would like to see better signage for some of the holes were the next hole is
Little Gem
If you love playing golf you must visit Haydock Park Golf Club
I have played the course 3 times now and it keeps getting better and better, the ground staff are obviously passionate about keeping it top notch
I spoke with one of the groundsman who was driving a tractor with what looked like a huge wind turbin on the back of it
He informed me thatcthere had been complaints that after cutting the fairways there where grass cutting been left
So they bought this huge contraption to blow the grass cutting off the fairway
The course is excellent value for £45 , I have payed alot more for some of the more so called must play golf courses
There is also a new golf shop being opened and spoke to the owner Dave who is going to supply it with all the latest golf attire
Also he is putting golf simulation bays, came across as atop bloke and nothing seemed to be to much trouble and seems to have great plans for the shop
Great value for a midweek knock
Great value for a midweek knock, so much better now back on tee's and fairways.
Course was in lovely condition for this time of year so I can only imagine what it will be like in the summer. Will definitely be returning here as much as possible
First time playing this course and I found it a good challenge. Good price paid on golf now (£20). Some holes a little shorter than normal due to winter tee's being in play and some ongoing maintenance work on greens as is expected this time of year. Overall a pleasant experience. Will definitely play again.
Only 16 holes available, but, in.winter, main greens, which were in perfect condition, as a disabled player I need a single buggy to play, which were only allowed for the registered members on.the day, the Professional went over and above to allow me to play, a great round of golf and always a great club to go back to, my thanks to ALL, in particular the greenstaff and professional 👏
Course in great condition for weather/time of year, only 16 holes open, but main greens so worth playing, greens in good condition, no bumps or bobbles, very friendly pro, staff ang greenstaff 👏⛳️🏌♂️👍
Haydock golf
Well looked after course and pace of play is usually very good
Busy bustling course
The course was in a lovely condition but the tee times seemed a little stacked up. Pace was generally ok though. 18 holes in 3 hours on the nose is ok for our group.
Great Course
Course was full and had to wait on every hole. The cost was also on the high side. On the other hand the condition of the course was great both greens and fairways.
Average course, bit boring, 5/10 greens
Just your average up and down parkland course. Nothing particular wrong with the layout but just a bit boring. Back 9 better than the front. Bobbly greens which should be better this time of year. Plenty of better cheaper courses in the north west.
Pleasant parkland golfing
Nice course with some interesting holes. Not too difficult (no major trouble or deep rough to worry about). Couple of greens were a little patchy in places, but overall the greens rolled nicely. Tee boxes were in good condition. Plenty of practice areas for putting/chipping.
Great knock
Tough course, tree lined fairways, nice and flat friendly members and good facilities. Will definitely play it again.
Poor
Rude pro.
Couple of the holes closed with no mention anywhere but full fee paid.
Just poor overall, standards have really slipped.
Winter mats really are some of the worst I’ve seen.
