Greens were in good condition given the heat./ Nice course though the fairways had suffered from the last 2 months' heat. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The course was so full my 4 ball was unable to finish and after 3 hours on hole 9 we had to call it a day

Lovely course with some challenging holes, great layout and well kept fairways and greens

The good - tee boxes flat and bunkers have good healthy amounts of sand. Grass range always a bouns. Staff behind the bar are responsive and friendly.

The bad - round time was 5 hours and 5 mins. Yes it was a Saturday lunch time but this is no excuse for a course that is very short with numerous yellow tees barely breaking 300 yards. No course Marshall was to be seen anywhere. By hole 4 we had 11 people on the same tee box as play was so slow. Course had no signs for each hole layout and this made it dangerous when many holes were blind. Greens were slow on the back 9. Pro shop staff unresponsive until prompted only to give direction to go to the bar staff. Parking was crammed. Yellow tees placed at the same position as the red tees on certain holes, despite the other tee boxes conditions being perfectly good. Food and drinks at the bar were well overpriced. For £55 this was a disgrace. We will not be revisited when there are many other superb courses in the area for a similar price.

Loved the course, nice challenge, the only issue was how slow it was, took over 5 hours and held up at every hole. Apart from that lovely course and staff really friendly

First time playing Surrey Downs ; overall a great experience. The greens are in superb condition, running true on every hole. A pleasure to play on, and highly recommended. Excellent modern clubhouse, with friendly staff, and a wonderful double green that is used for the 9th & 18th right in front of the clubhouse, with a proper practice putting green also.

Greens were well kept but needed to be rolled, bunkers were excellent, fairways and tee boxes were good. Its a bit of a shorter course so played off the whites to give some more distance. Would happily play there again, a good round at £42.

Parking was a bit tight when we turned up at 2pm. But there was an event on which may have contributed.

Not a bad course for the money. Greens let it down though. SO slow and bumpy. They just need a nice cut.

My partner and I were joined up with another two ball who were great company and it was overall good value for money. Bunkers were well sanded but greens slow and bit bumpy. The play was particularly slow resulting in me returning home later than expected.

We've played Surrey Downs a lot but I can see they are doing a lot of great renovations ready for next year. But even now, the course was in excellent conditions and the greens were some of the best I've seen.

Was a lovely course to play as a hot deal with amazing views due to the elevation of the course. Was not too tricky to play with the open fairways.

The course is great. The fairways were well maintained but there were a few patches of damage.

The greens were bery good the day i played. The ball was running very true.

Course is well maintained, and the greens are in great shape. Had a long spell of dryness so fairways were slightly yellow but that would be the case for other courses.

Interesting layout, challenging for high handicappers but fair so makes it fun to play.

Have been a few time to this course.

I can only assume they are having the club champs in the next week or so. Because they haven’t cut them for at least 2 weeks!

One of the reasons I come to Surrey downs is for the greens, yesterday was a real let down.

Pace of play was also shocking.

Course in great condition, highly recommend playing here this summer
